There seemed to be some sort of connection Peter and MJ were sharing, though there was also a wall keeping them from getting too close to each other. Both of them seemed... afraid.
Evie confronted Ned between classes. "Ned."
He looked at her. "Peter and MJ."
"We need to..."
"Make them meet up? So they-"
"Can be together and happy-"
"For the rest of eternity."
"Yes," she nodded.
"That's what I thought," Ned replied. "They obviously like each other."
Evie sighed exasperatedly. "EXACTLY! They just won't admit it." She shook her head. "My brother, the idiot. MJ can't tell him, it's almost physically impossible for her to, but Peter just won't say it!"
Ned nodded thoughtfully. "Peter lights up every time he sees MJ, and she does the same."
Evie sighed again. "We need a plan."
