A/N: OK GUYS LISTEN
I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHAT ANY OF THESE PROBLEMS MEAN
I COPIED AND PASTED OFF THE INTERNET
I LOVE Y'ALL, BUT PLEASE STOP ASKING ME
THANK YOU

Parker
R1-R2 = (13-3) = 10

Dr. Ruffalo
Correct!

I can see why your teacher recommended you.

You're very good at physics. Better than most of my students, actually

Parker
Aw, thanks

Dr. Ruffalo
Have you decided on a career?

Parker
Not yet

Dr. Ruffalo
Well, you should consider majoring in physics.

You could go far with your skills

Parker
You really think so?

Dr. Ruffalo
Absolutely. In fact, would you like do a few different physics problems from nuclear physics, to get a feel for the other branches?

Parker
Yeah, that sounds fantastic

Dr. Ruffalo
Alright. I'll start with mechanics. This one is fairly simple.

Jane is walking her dog, Spot, on a straight road when she spots her friend Rob approaching. Both Jane and Rob are strolling at a relaxed pace of 3 mph. At a distance of 600 feet between them, Spot starts running between Jane and Rob at a constant speed of 8 mph, with Jane and Rob continuing to walk towards each other at a steady 3 mph. In this scenario, neglecting the time lost each time Spot reverses direction, calculate the total distance covered by Spot by the time Jane and Rob meet. Express your solution in terms of relevant variables, incorporating principles of relative motion and simple kinematics.

Parker
Hmmmm

Dr. Ruffalo
Remember to take your time working through it.

Parker
Ok. So, it's the standard time = distance over speed formula.

The relative speed of Jane and Rob towards each other is 2 × Vw, so the time it takes for them to meet is time = D0/2 x Vw

Spot is running back and forth at a speed of Vs, so that equation would be distance = time x Vs

Spot is kind of a dumb name for a dog.

I bet I could think of a better name.

Dr. Ruffalo
Focus, Mr. Parker

Parker
Right, sorry.

So that's time = D0/2 x Vw = 600/2 x 3 = 100 seconds

Which in turn is distance =time × Vs = 100 × 8/3600 = 2/9 miles

Gary ran 2/9 of a mile, or 1170 feet.

Dr. Ruffalo Gary?

Parker
The dog. Dogs respond better to names that end with an 'ee' sound

Dr. Ruffalo
I see.

You're correct! It took my students at least 8-10 minutes to solve that, but you solved it in 5!

Parker
I really am smarter than your students

HuH

Dr. Ruffalo
Maybe you should come and teach one of my classes

Parker
XD

I'm too busy, but thanks

Dr. Ruffalo
I have a class now, but good job today.

Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions!

Parker
Bye Doctor!

>>>You are now texting Ned<<<

Peter
Hey so remember how Ms. Jala said I should take an advanced class?

Ned
Is that why you aren't coming to science class anymore?

Peter
Yeah

Ned
Flash told everyone you failed

Peter
Of course he did

You didn't believe him though, right?

Ned
Of course not

But I did wonder

Peter
Anyway

The professor whos teaching me said I'm smarter than most of his students

Ned
Really!?

Peter
And he teaches COLLEGE

Ned
O.O

Peter
Right?!

Ned
Dude that's awesome

Wait, so then what do you do during class?

Peter
Well, I have the free time...

Ned
You do

THAT?

Peter
¯\_ (ツ)_/¯

Ned
Awesome dude

Who teaches you?

Peter
Dunno, he's got a fake name

Ned
Why?

Peter
Apparently he's well known

Ned
What if

HE'S A CRIMINAL

Peter
Ned

Tone it down

He's not a criminal

Ned
BUT HOW DO YOU KNOW FOR SURE?!

Peter
He doesn't seem like one

Ned
WOULD YOUR SPIDEY SENSES WARN YOU?

Sorry, caps lock

Peter
Probably

Ned
Is there any way you could meet him in real life

Peter
Maybe one day

Idk

>>>Incoming call from Aunt May<<<

Peter
I gotta go, May's calling me

Ned
Ok, but I still don't trust this dude

Peter
It's fine Ned.

What could go wrong?

Ned
And you jinxed it.

What could go wrong?... Anyway, hoped you guys enjoyed it!
I'm hoping to update every day (except for Sundays), maybe every other day depending on how my week goes. See you guys in the next chapter!
