We sat in a meadow, eating food on a floral beach towel, basically a picnic lunch date. Since we went on one almost two months ago, we have become obsessed with romantic picnics.

I laid back staying at the sky, with my hands behind my head, this was kinda a dream come true for me. Fuck it, every day with Achilles is a dream come true.

I closed my eyes and just relaxed, and when I opened my eyes, Achilles staring at me.

He immediately looked away, but face turned red and I stated to laugh. He his his face in his hands, "Staring?" I smirked

"Ok fine you caught me-" he moved a fly away hair behind my ear "but I can't help it if your so fucking gorgeous !"

I blushed, trying to remember I time when I thought I was gorgeous. I couldn't recall any.

    "Thank you."

"Duh" he mumbled, he was staring at me, but not me my eyes, he was looking at my lips.

I smirked again, "do you want a kiss or something?"

"I need one." He giggles and I leaned in.

To be perfectly honest my life couldn't be better till I heard my phone buzzing. Sighing, I pulled away and answered the call.

"hello?" I asked, ready to get this call over with and retrieve my kiss from Achilles.

"Patroclus?" The person on the phone called out,

"Uhm..what is this about?" how did this person know me?

"I need to know, I'm the boy's father."

My expression must have looked insane because Achilles was shaking me, asking what was happening.

"It's my dad!" I tried to whisper but it came out more of a terrified scream. Achilles was confused but didn't question it.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"Your ...friends... mother spoke with me. Listen,I am sure a nice girl can change you. Your not a faggo-"

I immediately hung up, not gonna listen to any more of that. "Are you ok? What did he say?"

"Nothing nice" I sighed, setting my phone down.

"Was he rude to you?" Achilles asked, anger in his eyes.

       "He talked with your mom."

He gasped, "oh shit..."

I nodded, not knowing what to do anymore, and kinda hurt from what my dad had said. I haven't spoke with him in ages and the first thing he says to me is just so hurtful.

"Patroclus, what do we do! Nobody wants us together, its 2023 and people are still Homophobic?!"

"it's meant to be, I'm gonna fight for us, we can't just give up." I declared.

"Woah I'm so motivated!" He joked, but I could tell part of him meant it.

I rolled my eyes to what he said next,

"It wasn't action movie worthy but It was great."

We laughed, my phone was blowing up with what I suspected was voicemails texts from my father, but I ignored it, only gives a shit about Achilles.

Half an hour later, I was reading a book, still sitting on the towel in the meadow with Achilles, drawing dusk near.

"Can you take a photo of me in the sunset to send to someone?" I nodded grabbing his phone.

     "Smile!"

He stuck both his the middle fingers up, smiling like a maniac.

"Achilles who are you sending that too!"

He groaned, "Annoying kid who texted me from high school. Trust me he deserves it."

    "Oh ok, I trust you..."

"his name is Agamemnon!" He scoffed, the look on his face said it all.

"Well I'm sorry he's texting you! Is he being nice?"

"Patroclus why do you think in sending him the middle finger?"

I sighed, "Maybe you two can talk it out?"

"He your instagram looked like an old mans!" I sighed not caring, but instead, laughing.

    "Who cares! "

      "Me!" He pouted,

"The only opion I care about is yours." I reminded, grabbing his hand.

Achilles set his phone down and I did my best to calm him down. Sometimes he had a temper but were working on not letting it control him.

We sat back down, he laid his head down in my lap, I braided his hair as we watched the sunset.

I heard footsteps behind us, but choose to ignore it.

"Patroclus!" I know that yell anywhere...

     It was my father.
