"ahh, here it is. a nice inexpensive luxury apartment with 2 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, and a stunning view of the city. pets are allowed with no fee, a nice neighborhood, and plenty of space. everything you're looking for." milo pointed out while we waited in the elevator.

"it already looks so beautiful!" i clapped my hands together in excitement.

it was perfect in every aspect from the location, view, and even style. from the looks of it, it was a helluva amount of space that i could use. i could use the other bedroom as an office or even a part-time living space for nano, my 2-year-old doberman.

i had to take the opportunity to find an apartment because there was a mold issue at my current apartment and i can't take it anymore. my landlord was busy with other requests and said it would take some time but it's been 4 months.

i can't stand it anymore.

the mold made my throat feel itchy, my nose stuffy and made me wheeze sometimes. so i wrote a notice about my wanting to move, that way i wouldn't have to pay extra rent. it's taken me forever to find a place, but i was hoping that this might be the one. it was perfect on the website and it looks even perfect in person.

when the elevator chimed and the doors finally opened, it revealed a simple minimalistic hallway. the light hallways smelt like fresh laundry and the sun glowed her way through the ceiling-to-roof window. milo guided me in the direction of the apartment that would soon be mine if it was truly perfect enough and when he opened the door, my eyes lit up.

the apartment was just like i'd imagined. the view was extremely beautiful and i knew it would be stunning at night. for the price, this apartment was huge with a walk-in closet in both rooms and a stunning kitchen. the floors were a beautiful dark hardwood and the walls were a light beige.

i let my fingers glide on the countertops as if that would help me understand or see them better. the only downside is that the elevator has been broken for a month and it would take a few weeks to fix it, meaning i had to walk up 4 flights.

"it was unlocked.." milo's lips bunched to the side and his eye slightly squinted, skeptical as he followed me around the apartment.

"it's beautiful milo," i chuckled, so excited and amazed at the deal i got myself into.

i checked the microwave and counters as if i was discovering a new toy. it was that feeling of excitement rushing through my skin that was making me feel the way i was. i felt so satisfied and safe with the option of this luxury apartment. and just as my eyes were searching the spacious place, both milo and i heard footsteps.

a gorgeous tall woman walked into the main room, confidently strutting. her confidence radiated while her heels clanked on the hardwood floors. she was so stunning that it almost made me swallow my insecurities and avoid eye contact to hide them.

i also noticed the earrings she seemed to wear confidently. they were from one my idols and inspiration.

vivienne westwood.

"uh oh, seems someone's already here..." milo frowned, scratching his neck. i could tell he was thinking the same thing i was thinking about her appearance.

that she was an absolute model.

"do you mind if i show the place to my client?" milo smiled, nicely asking the beautiful woman.

"my client's sorta already made up his mind." the realtor half-smiled, slightly tilting her head and looking back at her phone. just then my eyes caught a shaded figure outside on the balcony shifting around. there stood a male peacefully studying the city from the balcony view.

this man was just as hot as the woman that stood right in front of me. his body seemed unreal and his aura seemed so mysterious. his hair's wavy strands could imitate very loose curls and the black shirt he wore made his muscles carve so gently. there were some visible tattoos on his arm that i could've sworn were familiar.

his phone pressed on his ear by his should as he leaned on the railings. whatever milo and the woman were talking about became blurred since i swore that i'd seen this guy before...

when he slightly turned, i caught a glimpse of half of his face. a lightning bolt struck my chest and i'm sure my heart skipped a beat.

it couldn't be him, after all this time?

"vincent," she called out for him, lifting her head from her phone to the sight of the balcony and confirming my superstition.

when he turned around that's when i accepted who he was. my eyes widened and a cold wave flew over my body. i could feel my heart rate increasing and perhaps not in a good way.
