Chapter Fifty: My Place is And Embarrassment

"Holy shit I can't believe you guys'd come here." I exclaim with the biggest grin on my face, wrapping my hand around Austin's waist and for the first time, not sliding away his own one around my shoulder.

But there was something bothering me though...

"Wait." I frown to look at Jayden. "I thought you didn't want to tell me what you were planning like, now, all this time?"

He looked kind of embarrassed. "Well I didn't, at first. But then my friends decided that it'd be better if I just told you the whole thing if you insisted further so I just did."

I nodded, still not clear but at least getting ahold of the situation. "Oh."

Sam nodded. "Oh indeed."

Vanessa, whose hair had turned to green now, smiles back at me. The smile had something weird in it but then I realized her right eye was a little bit swollen, although not too noticeable for the concealer caked on it. "Well we wouldn't have to come here, but Jayden here threatened us for the past few days to fix something that he caused so here we are."

"I didn't threaten you, it was merely self defense." Jayden mutter, eyeing Vanessa apologetically.

"Yeah," She nodded, grimacing as she did. "Giving your best friend a black eye is a good self defense, I must say."

"It wasn't my fault, why were you coming at me like you wanted to kick me?"

"Because you were making a scene inside the restaurant?"

"And you climbed over the counter to kick me in the balls, you should be glad that they didn't sue me because I punched you! It's really sexist!" At this point he just sounded like he was making excuses.

"AND YOU'D PUNCH ME FOR IT, YOU FUCKING BITCH!" Vanessa charged forward with her teeth bare but that moment, Sam decided to step in by casually slipping his hand around her waist. She magically went mellow under that after uselessly fighting for a few seconds then just limped, yet still cursing powerfully at Jayden.

Austin, Jayden and I shared a look with each other quickly when Mia was the one who stepped in between the small quarrel, walking in between Jayden and San and Vanessa. "Guys guys, let's not fight each other and talk about what we are actually here for."

"Right." Sam cleared his through and let go of Vanessa's waist as she threw herself out of his atmosphere. The sight was adorable to look at, both of them awkwardly standing with a distance but then I got noticed how embarrassing must've it been for them.

"Okay, so scandal huh." Austin grinned at Jayden and me, as though the problem was a mere fun. Giving Jayden a suggestive look, he rubbed my shoulder with his palm. "Who was at fault though?"

Jayden glared at Austin. "Fuck you Austin. Anyways," he looked behind us. "It's not exactly a safe place for us to discuss or just stand here together, let's go somewhere else."

We all nodded, and started walking, Austin still leeched with me with his hand over my shoulder. Conversations started separately after some time- first of with Sam and Jayden in something deep and whispering aggressively with each other, then Vanessa cursing at Mia in French and she scratching her back wildly. It was when Austin's palm poked me on my shoulder again. "Hey Shorts?"

It was hard to walk with someone whose hand was wrapped tightly around your shoulder but this guy somehow managed to not make me uncomfortable for once.

"What?" I groaned, thinking how many girls he'd been with to practice the notion.

"What's up with you and Jay-Jay?"
