Chapter Sixty-Eight: I'm Gladly Accepting Charity

After threatening him with various promises and variations of ways I would pull out his kidney through his ass, I could stop Eliot from telling the groupchat.

But the funny thing is, after the confession I found myself spilling my guts out to him. Starting from the beginning to yesterday.

From the first time we met in the detention, the day it was raining and we were all home alone he'd kissed my neck and stuff, when we went to stargazing at the field...

Each of the thing that came out of me made Eliot jump out and each time I had to keep him practically on gun point to not spill anything.

But really, even though Eliot was the last person I had in mind regarding to telling these stuff, I had to say them to someone- or else I was gonna explode.

But after I'd finished, Eliot really was flabbergasted.

"I mean normally, I wouldn't give a rat's ass about any of your relationships with anyone, but gosh, that is something."

I grimace. "My god, after all I did to convince you to tell Mia you liked her."

He shrugged. "Okay well see, this is all very interesting and stuff, but now everything's is messed up."

He wisely raised his fingers. "That, lady, is why you should NEVER befriend men. Oh you better believe they're gonna tell you they like them after a while. It is inevitable."

"Looks like someone can relate." I sigh. "Well it doesn't make it better that the feeling is reciprocrated."

Eliot nodded. "Okay well I don't get something then."

"What?"

He incredulously looked at me. "Well what's the matter with you now? You kissed, you talk about it and bam, we get another couple after Sam and Vanessa."

I get off of my bed and raised my arms to exclaim. "Eliot, that IS the problem!"

"How?!"

"Cause he doesn't like me!"

Eliot went silent, looking at me with the same expression one would have if they watched a movie with the worst CGI. He breathed, chuckling in disbelief.

"Okay, you're telling me- your guy Jayden gave you rides, stuck with you like a leech, prodded and made fun of you and WITH you, forced you to go to his favorite places, made you become best friends with his best friends- stuck with you when you both were in trouble when he could've just left, helped you with your grades like an actual teacher would, cleaned up perfume with you, and last but not least, initiated, as you had said, the kiss you two had last night - and you're telling me.... that-"

He disappointedly looked at me. "That he doesn't like you?"

I scratch my head. "I suppose that's what best friends do?"

"EVELYN HE KISSED YOU, I DON'T REALLY THINK ROSE AND YOU KISS BECAUSE YOU'RE BEST FRIENDS!"

I raised my voice too. "He could've did it out of impulse or something!"

"WELL I GUESS THAT'S WHAT BEST FRIENDS DO, KISS EACH OTHER ON IMPULSE!"

I hit his shoulder. "We are opposite genders! And lower your voice!"

He scoffed, nodding vigorously. "Right. Of course." He then raised his fingers at me, his eyes vicious. "Look woman, you may not have had any guy friends but i do have woman friends and guess what? We. Do. Not. Kiss. Alright? That is NOT something 'only friends' do."
