𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐒 ˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳ 𝐧𝐜𝐭 𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦 - 𝐡𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐠𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐮

they arrived near the cornucopia, hiding within the bushes. there were thirteen bags laid out on the tables in the middle.

"no one's taken a bag yet." chenle said, observing the area around them for any tributes. "they're all hiding here i can tell. everyone's waiting for someone to make the first move."

"then should we?" jisung suggested, slowly shuffling forwards.

"stop." jeno said, grabbing his arm. "someone already has."

looking ahead, they saw a boy running over to his bag. jihyun recognised who it was and nearly stepped forwards if it wasn't for mark stopping her.

"what are you doing?" he snapped.

"it's wren. i'm going to kill that bastard." she said, removing his hand from her.

"don't. he's not alone." jisung said as two girls ran over to wren and they began talking. jihyun also recognised the two girls. they were the ones that had pinned her down while copper tortured her.

"i'll kill all three of them. they were the ones that did this to me. they need to pay." she sneered, pointing to her hair and thigh. she then looked down at her slingshot with such a fierce glare that it shocked the others. the only time they had seen her so angry was when she fought wren during training.

"listen, i have a plan." renjun said. "jisung is the fastest. donghyuck and jihyun are fast too and light on their feet. like they always say, they never get caught stealing. if we distract wren and those girls at the cornucopia, then these three can run over, get the bags and get out."

"so what do we do?" chenle asked. 

"we'll be here as backup. if we notice they're in trouble, we can attack."

"so we're here on the sidelines. awesome. renjun, thanks." chenle grinned, patting his back.

"no, we're still helping them by acting as distractions. don't get your hopes up."

"they're stealing our bags!" jaemin exclaimed, pointing to the three that were gathering all the districts bags.

"okay, never mind that plan i guess. jeno, will you spear reach them from here?" renjun asked.

"it can indeed. i'll only be able to kill one though. the other two could run off with the bags." he replied.

while the others discussed what to do, jihyun was focused on a girl who ran across the field heading towards the bags. the three that were there weren't paying attention and the girl grabbed her bag, running to the trees. just as she reached them, the district two girl turned around and threw her knife at the girl, pinning her clothes down to the floor.

the three laughed loudly then ran over to the helpless girl as she screamed for mercy. they were further away from the cornucopia now and had left some of the bags. they had found their distraction.

jihyun turned to donghyuck and jisung who shared mutual looks with her. she nodded at them then mouthed, "now."

they sprinted towards the table where district two, three, eight, nine and twelve's bags were. 

"they took mine, yours, jaemin and jeno's bags." jihyun told jisung.

"we'll take our remaining ones." he said.

"what about the ones they stole?" donghyuck asked. before the two could reply, the cannon sounded meaning there were no more distractions.

"run." jisung said and they fled back the way they came. they were halfway there when a knife flew past jisung, skimming his cheek and behind him, donghyuck was tackled to the ground by wren.
