"where's jihyun?" jisung's voice rang throughout the house as he hurried down the stairs past renjun.

"she's upstairs." the older replied. he had just spent the last hour laying on her bed while she was working at her desk.

"shit." he groaned.

"i heard my name." the girl appeared at the top of the stairs with a pile of papers in her arms. in seconds, jisung ran up the stairs to where she was and she stumbled back, surprised.

"we're going out."

"maybe later. i have work to do." she replied, flipping through her papers.

"it's the weekend. work can wait." he said, taking the papers from her hands and dropping them to the floor.

"hey. i really need—" she was cut off as jisung bent down, wrapped his arm around the back of her knees and placed her on her stomach on his shoulder. "jisung!"

he carefully walked down the stairs as she softly smacked his back, repeatedly asking him to put her down. they passed renjun who was still on the stairs, watching them and then jeno who was in the corridor downstairs. when jisung reached the door, haechan was just walking in from work and all he could do was stare wide-eyed as the two left out the door.

"what was that?" jeno mumbled, not exactly seeing what had happened but having heard jihyun yelling.

"did i just witness jihyun getting kidnapped by jisung?" haechan asked, doing a double take at the door in shock.

"he'd been going on about wanting to take jihyun on a date. i guess he finally got the courage to do so." renjun explained.

"so he kidnapped her...?"

outside, jisung finally let jihyun onto her feet after lots of begging. he immediately felt guilty at the look on her face. she was frowning, her eyebrows scrunched and she almost looked like steam was going to come out of her ears.

"seriously, sung?"

"i wanted to take you on a date." he said and her gaze softened. she'd always have a weak spot for jisung. she could never stay mad at him.

"you could've just asked me, silly. i wouldn't say no." she elbowed him.

"i did ask two minutes ago and you said you have work to do. plus, you've been hung up on your work so much recently. i wanted to spend time with you and didn't want you to get stressed out."

"now i feel bad for yelling at you. you were just being thoughtful." she sighed. "thank you, sung."

"well, it was rude of me to kidnap you like that... but you'll go on a date with me still?" he asked, hopeful and at the nod of her head, he took ahold of her hand and pulled her along with him.

"where are we going?"

"they recently opened this game place. i can't remember what it's called but i passed by it a couple days ago. most of the games are on screens... a bunch of technology stuff you probably know more about. but they had some other stuff like basketball, golf and this thing where you have to knock down cups with balls. i don't know. it's a bit weird. but i thought we could go."

"it's sounds exciting. alright, let's go!"

the two went to the place and jihyun thought it was so much cooler than jisung had described it as. they played all the games there for hours and some even rewarded them with gifts. jisung never would've thought he'd end up having to carry a bunch of stuffed toys around for jihyun who was winning every game but he didn't mind. he thought it was cute seeing how excited she was.
