Chapter 28

Tory's pov

When Tory had made her way to school she had not expected the day to turn out the way it did. Nor had she seen it coming. She was completely caught off guard and couldn't even react as she watched the horror in front of her.

The doors to the classroom flew up and a student walked in behind Michael. Victoria watched in horror as the student charged at him, knife in hand.

"Nooo!" She hadn't recognized her voice as her own, but Michael did. He spun around barely avoiding the knife by grabbing the hand slamming it away in time.

"Douglas?" He asked in confusion.

"It's your fault, you slept with her didn't you, you touched my mate you freak!"

"What are you talking about?"

"You are the reason she won't be with me."

Thankfully her body responds to her this time and she moved just in time. Douglas jumped Michael almost about to shift but Tory got there in time. She jumped Douglas and pushed him off Michael.

Instinct took over and all she could think of was protecting what was hers.

"Stop" her voice ringing with the power of her alpha command. All the werewolves in the room shivered by the force. Michael was behind Douglas before Tory could realise what had happened Michael had knocked him unconscious and Douglas fell to the floor.

"Tory?" Michael questioned looking at her.

"You're?"

"Yeah" I answered his question. It pained me to see the emotions flashing in his eyes. But maybe now he would back off and just look at me in disgust now that he knew I was not only a werewolf but and alpha at that.

Michael was about to open his mouth when the doors slammed open.

The principal stormed in.

"What in the devil is going on here?"

"Principal Brown?" We both said at the same time. In any other situation I might have noted the irony, and maybe even laughed about the notion of Mr. Brown talking to Mr. Black but this wasn't one of those situations.

"Mr. Black?! Explain why a scared student came storming into my office and screamed about a knife"

"Sir, Douglas attacked him" I said, immediately defending Michael.

The principle turned and looked at me, brows raised.

"She is right sir" Michael said taking the lead "Mr. Douglas here" he said gesturing to douglas who was laying flat on the ground unconscious. "he came at me with a knife raving about me sleeping with his girlfriend. All the students here witnessed it" Michael said and with a hand gesture he pointed to the class, who I had forgotten were even there.

"Oh well" the principal huffed "um- I'm glad no one was hurt. I'll contact the police immediately".

"class is dismissed for today" Michael said and the students ran out of the room while I stayed behind.

The police came and said they would speak with all the witnesses and took my statement. I also told them that Douglas was a jealous ass and that last week he beat a guy up for touching his girl and that he wasn't very stable.
