Chapter 26

Tory's POV

The training with the girls were going great. A few of the girls behaved like real bitches but they didn't bother her, yet.

No the girls would soon be able to continue on their own, and victoria had started training the future third to teach the girl as well as the guys. so they wouldnt be left hanging when she left.

Nor was it a problem for her when some of the guys still hadnt learned their lesson. Not the warriors of course they'd seen her fight, but some of the younger one's who though it was cool to behave rude and macho. So of course they picked on her. Tried to be someone and challenged her, so of course she kicked his ass. His name was Douglas. He was trying to look good for his mate, and ended up looking like a fool. Tory didnt think it was her problem.

What bothered her was more straight forward. Her wolf was restless, she hadn't shifted in a while and it strained on her. Not to mention her connection to her pack wasnt strong like she was used to, it hadnt been since the attack, it was making her uneasy. the pack connection was like second nature to her, and now it almost wasnt there. she might as well have lost a hand.

No it only made her more determent that she had to leave sooner rather than later.

It was only a few weeks left. That was doable, right? If it went smoothly, her plan was all laid out. Train the girls, train the third to continue the girls training, graduate, then track the vampires back to their master. One way or another, all she had to do was find them. Easy right? She gave a mental snort, since when had anything been easy? No she knew sooner or later something would ruin her plans, but she would work around that. Nothing was gonna stop her from saving her pack.

The bell rang the lunch bell and for her that signaled one less day she had to wait.

She was about to leave the classroom when she was pulled back in, door closing in front of her.

"What the hell?!" I hissed. Something pulled me back so quickly I didn't even have time to react, a huge blow to my pride.

"I need you to explain!" It was Michael Black, my vampire-english-teacher. He stood in front of me a unreadable expression on his face, well one emotion was clear, frustration and anger.

"You need me to what! I need you to stop grabbing me, do you have any idea how dangerous that is! If I for a second don't have control of my wolf, I'd shift and rip your head of in front of the entire school!" I was ranting.

In truth I don't think I'd rip his head of not with my wolf reacting the way she did. She purred. Yep you heard right, the mighty alpha wolf purred. I was ranting to cover up how much he surprised me.

"What have you done to me?" He asked ignoring my outburst.

I had been avoiding him except in class but now he had found me and there was no avoiding that since I couldn't leave until I finished high school, which was only couple of weeks away. Few weeks then my deal with Alpha Mason was done on my part and I could leave to find the answers I needed.

"What are you talking about?" I said honestly confused. I should have realized what he meant as it was clear as daylight to anyone else but I was still in denial.

"Why the hell can't I stop thinking about you?"

"How the hell should I know, maybe you're a perverted son of a bitch who wants his student?"

"Dont try to pin this on me. I know you feel this to, tell me why I can't stop thinking about you, I find myself checking you out in class, I cant focus on my teaching, hell I barely eat, do you know what happens if a vampire doesnt feed? It isnt good, Hell I dream about you. This isn't some crush on a student, this is supernatural, and as I know you have been avoiding me, I know you know so tell me what the hell is happening, what did you do to me?"

"I don't know what you want me to say"

His finger brushed the side of my face and I leaned into his touch. He tugged a strand of hair behind my ear and his face rested inches away from my face. It took everything in my power to ignore my wolf instinct at that moment.

"I want answers" he whispered. "I need answers"

"Can't give them to you" tears almost appearing in my eyes but I stopped them.

"Please" he said leaning closer, "I need to know"

"I don't know, whatever is going on I wouldn't know, please let me go" I said

He hadn't realised he was holding her, but he let her go and stepped back "sorry" he said feeling cold now that she wasn't close.

She felt the same, but could never let herself admit it.

"Is that the only thing you have to say?" He asked, he sounded so sad I almost wanted to hug him and take the pain away. But I didn't, instead I said

"Yes it is"

"I understand" he said, then he disapeared in a flash. She stood there for five minutes not moving. She swallowed grabbed her bag and walked out of the classroom, down the hall and into the forest behind the school.

Then after she was a fair distance in the woods, and only then, when she finally dared think she was alone she fell to the ground in tears. Crying silently for her loss.
