Chapter 10

Victoria's POV

"You're in my chair" The alpha commented. His voice not as hard as I expected it to be. But I was taking that as a good thing.

"That I am" I agreed. To late to say sorry anyway.

The Alpha surprised me by chuckling.

"Comfy?" He asked. And I swear the beta's mouth dropped to the floor.

"Yep" I smiled, going with it.

The beta looked ready to faint. I stood up giving the alpha his chair back if he wanted it. I hadn't really meant to sit down I just forgot myself as I spoke. I was used to sitting in dad's chair all the time, It was a natural place for me to be.

"I told you what you wanted to know" I said.

"You did" The Alpha agreed.

"So may I leave now?" I asked.

"I have a feeling if you really wanted to leave, there wouldn't be anyone who could stop you" He said, going on a hunch.

I smiled, I was surprised, I kind of liked him. He wasn't as cruel as you'd think. Yes he did try to hit me, but I was pushing his buttons and he was doing what he felt was right in a situation his position as alpha was being questioned, or not taken into consideration at the time, on my side anyway.

"You might me right" I said, agreeing to his statement.

"Would you consider staying?" he asked, surprising me again.

"Why?" I asked, completely baffled, but keeping my cool, not showing my surprise. I can't say the same for the beta, who looked at his alpha like he had grown a second head or something.

"Your powerful for a female, even for a male, possibly stronger that many men in my pack" He commented.

"Well don't underestimate females, they might surprise you" I said venomously, I can't stand the way they speak like being females make you lesser in any way.

"You might be right" he said, ignoring my tone of voice and continued.

"You speak like rank doesn't matter, hell probably doesn't to you, and yet I haven't tried to kill you, you stopped my hit, and didn't even flinch at my command. So why not, strong allies is always a good thing. Is it not?" He asked with a smile.

This time I smiled.

"How nice of you not to kill me, but I do agree an alliance is always a good thing to have"

He nodded, approvingly.

"But still I'm going to have to decline on your offer to stay. I will tell you why if you both swear on the moon goddess herself that the information will not leave this room or I'll take my leave"

The beta and Alpha looked at each other both surprised by my words.

"I agree with the alpha, you give of this vibe, I feel the need to trust you, yet I have not spoken more then a few words to you. But I want to know why" The beta said, I was surprised that he voiced his opinion out loud, but I nodded.
