Tory's pov

"Tory!" Becky's voice boomed in the hallway as she banged on her bedroom door. Tory groaned, she felt sore and stiff all over.

"What?"

"It's 2 pm that's what!" She said walking in the door. "I know its the weekend and all but this does not mean you get to slack off" she said playfully then saw Tory's humorless face. "I have known you all your life and I can't remember the last time you slept in" Becky said more serious, "What's on your mind lately?"

Tory gave her a half smile. Becky didn't miss anything. She knew something was up.

"Hey Becks, good morning to you too" she said not answering Becky's question but instead tried to change the subject.

"What's up?"

Becky didn't miss a beat. "Not you" she said back to the topic. "You may be my Alpha, but you're also my best friend..." She said sternly, putting her hand on her hips and looking at me with a scowl. "Now talk"

"Nothing to talk about" Tory said getting out of bed stretching as she spoke. Her sore muscles sighed in relief. "I just haven't shifted in a while" I said not bringing up the Vampire teacher situation as I was trying my best to forget or at least ignore that situation all together.

"How long is a while?" Becky said a full out frown on her face now.

"Umm" I said thinking back and frowned. "It might be somewhere around a month" I said feeling like a child about to get scolded.

"A month!" Becky exclaimed distraught. "Are you out of your bloody mind!"

"Maybe" I offered making Becky glare at me. "No wonder you slept for so long, I'm amazed your wolf hasn't clawed her way out yet" becky shook her head at me.

" yeah yeah I know I know"

"You have got to take care of yourself, any other pack member would be sick from so many days locked up, seriously! I can't believe I have to babysit my own Alpha"

"Hey, I've had a lot on my mind" I said defending my wounded pride.

"So you keep saying but you still won't talk to me"

"No, I've gotta work some things out on my own. I'll let you in when I know"

"Fine" Becky said, "but we are going for a run today, no way out of it"

I gave her a playful glare "yes ma'am"

Today had be relatively straightforward. Tory had trained the girl for the last time and tomorrow the third in command would take over and she would just supervise for a few days, then her job would be complete. School would finish in a couple of weeks and she could move one without any worries. The girls were doing great and the pack was definitely benefiting from this experience. Now she just had her own pack to worry about.

It was time to talk to Cole.

She had been putting it off for far too long. At first she said she'd wait until he recovered, but in truth she had been avoiding the situation all together. Now with her newfound resolve, she knew it was time. Time to hear the Tale of the day everything changed, the day of the attack.

Looking deep within herself, she felt her wolf stir. She needed to run, but there was still too much Tory had to do. It would just have to be put on hold.
