Chapter 17

Victoria's POV:

When we returned to the pack house it was early in the morning, 4-ish by the look of the sky. Every captive was supported by one of the warrior, helping them to walk.

We lead everyone into the pack house to the pack doctor so they could check them out. Some had been tortured, but most were just dehydrated and in need of some food. None had been bitten, seeing as vampires think our blood taste foul... Or so I'm told. In the end they where lucky.

There was 7 captives total, 5 of them where girls, alpha mates, then there was Cole and another man, named Dallas. He had followed as they kidnapped his mate and found them.

Had he been anyone but an Alpha I fear he wouldn't be alive. They were kidnapping Alpha mates, it wasn't some shitty pair of vamps either. They'd been organized. No unnecessary death to catch attention, no captives except the targets.

So when Dallas found then they must have been unsure what to do. Meaning there master, the head of the operation wasn't there. And they were awaiting her or his orders.

Then was it the same with Cole? No he had been there to long, he had also been tortured. He probably told them his pack name to spare his life as they would try to get as much info of the pack as possible, especially if they had learned his pack status.

"Huh" Victoria let out a long sigh. All in all they got lucky, all of them. The girls would be returned to their pack within a few days. Some from their pack would come pick them up.

Happy ending... This time.

Who was head of the operation was still unknown, and Tori had no intention to forget and move on. She would remember, and when the time was right she would find out the truth. So for now she let it rest. She watched the warriors help the girls down in the bed inside one of the pack care rooms, and saw Chase on the side of on of the beds holding his mates hand.

She was exhausted like the rest of the girls. They should be back to full health in a few days, the werewolves anyway, Lilly, Chase's mate was human so it would take longer with her a week probably. Victoria wasn't really sure.

"Hey Tess- Sorry Tori, I mean. I just wanted to say Thank you" One of the warriors I fought along side with in the mine said.

"Your welcome" I smiled.

"I'm Derek"

The girl next to him smiled "I'm Alice"

"Nice to meet you"
