Chapter 6

Tori's pov

"Umf" I fell to the ground.

Dad is training me to become an alpha, I had been trained all my life, along side Logan, but today was the first day it was just me, the next Alpha. It was a huge responsibility, and not doubting my abilities, but being afraid I would make bad choices for my pack had me unfocused.

"Again!" I demanded, flipping back up. Dad charged again, right fist, left, winched I dodged left kick, blocked, right hook, left hook, right again. High kick, which I dodged going low. I spin a low kick kicking his feet from under him, sending him falling. I move fast my hand on his throat pinning him down. But he hits the inside of my elbow, bending my arm, weakening my hold, slapping my arm away. Before he could attack again I had jumped several feet away. He got back up.

"Focus" He said, It just pissed me off. I was a great fighter damn it, get it together. He shouldn't have to tell me to focus. I should know better.

I wasn't going to let him win. With a new determination I was ready. all my worries and thoughts washed away. the fight, right here, right now was all that mattered. Dad charged again. Hit, hit, dodged, blocked, new right hook, I spun behind him. Kicking the back of his knee, he fell to the floor, kneeling but it didn't stop him for long.

He turned, attacking again. But I could read his every move, before it him. No longer needing to block I just dodged. hit after hit I dodged. he was going for a new kick, but I grabbed his foot, spinning him around, trowing him to the ground, hard.

He fell to the ground with a loud bang, he looked up at me with a smile on his face. A proud smile,

"Not bad" He said getting back up.

"wanna tell me what took you so long to get it together?" Dad asked.

He knew me to well. I have always been daddy's little girl.

"Just don't want to let the pack down" I said, looking to the ground as I spoke.

"You wont", dad said reassuringly.

"You are more then capable of running the pack and, even if I can't stand saying this, if you where to challenge me you would win" Dad said. I smiled half-hearted.

"I could never do that" I said.

"Alpha genes aside when I say this-" dad said, smiling. "-I'm proud of it. Knowing you can defeat me. How strong you have become. I'm proud of you" dad said. Telling me even though he couldn't stand to lose, and the thought of submitting made him angry.
