Chapter 94

Elizabeth POV

"I couldn't believe he just said those words and left. Like who says they done with three children. So for that week I layed in bed blocking out the world even your bother and you. Buy my baby took care of you and me. He had to grow up and help especially with Lilly on the way. We had no other choice and I cried every night night because your brother had to become the man of the house when I was gone. But luckily we still had money left. But that wouldn't be enough so when Lilly was born and turned 2 I got her into a creche while you and your brother when to school and I worked.
And when I'd come home the food would be done and the two of you would be washed and homework was done.
I was so proud of my little boy filling shoes that he shouldn't have filled at such a young age. And since your father left we haven't heard or seen him. He never even came around to meet Lilly or see how we were doing, it's like he vanished in this air. "

Mama said looking at the two of us.

" Elizabeth?? "

I heard my name being yelled through the house.

"in here"

I said, angry that my father just left mama with nothing but a vague note.

"where.... Oh you have a guest?"

William said when he noticed Erik.

"his no guest of ours, and his leaving like he did so many years ago"

I said getting up from my seat.

"before I leave I want to explain why I left"

He said looking at us.

"why would we want to hear you pathetic explanation. You left a pregnant woman with two toddlers in her own, what explanation would we hear that justified your actions?"

"it's wasn't my intention to come here and hurt you"

He said.

"what is it they you came for money?, if it's money that you want then"

I said called Fiona to bring my purse.

"here take it and leave us alone. We needed you all thoose years ago not now"

I said.

Just then Lilly got up and ran out the room.

"Lilly??"

Mama yelled then ran after her.

"thanks for spoiling such an amazing day Erik. I really don't need you in my life. I've done completely fine without you and mama doesn't need your shit in her life, she's done some crazy shit with you when you were young, but she's all grown up and in a healthy and good space. "

I told him firmly.

" William, can you please see him to the door "

I said looking back at William and walking out to find Lilly.

" I'm dieing Elizabeth "

He then said all of a sudden making me stop kn my tracks.

" and I didn't come here for your money, I don't want anything form my daughters, son and the love of my life, all I want is for you guys to know why I didn't what I did and seek your forgiveness so that I can die peacefully"

He said.

"I dought you will get forgiveness from me and I'm a very forgiving person. Why did you say you were done? You do know you can't return children right?"

I said.

"I was young and naive to think your mother and I could raise a kid on our own and then we tried and everything feel into place slowly. And then your mother got pregnant again. Just knowing we would have to feed another mouth drove me crazy. Not only was your mother feeling three mouths on her own and now she had to feed four and pay so that we don't go homeless. Bringing up the idea to abort you or give you and your brother up for adoption drove your mother Insain. She said I never speek such words ever and she made a good choice to keep you because look what you built for your self. And then she got pregnant with number 3 and that was the last straw. I was still young not even 30 yet and I was already sitting with 3 children and working as the bouncer didn't help at all with all the intimidating women that passes by me everytime. And so I left i then was introduced into a band especially since I was great with the drums.
And so I made one last stop at the place I called home. You were laying on the floor colouring in while you brother watched cartoons and you mother did the dishes with Lilly in her stomach. She started to show the time I left Chicago.
My life on the road was nothing but girls, getting high and drunk. It was the only way to not think of the family I left pieces. "

He said in tears.

" and when I came back to Chicago I went by the house. You were all grown up. You brother walked you and your sister to school everymoring. I knew I couldn't just walk into you life and you would accept me like that so I left and did free lancing gigs. Now and again I would check up on you guys. And you were happy and I couldn't ruin what the four of you had. So when I found out I have cancer I knew I had to make amense with my past and seek forgiveness "

At this point I was crying too and I didn't know why. This man has done so much hurt to our family and yet I'm crying.

" I want him to leave "

I heard lillys voice from behind us.

" I want him to leave now!! "

She yelled louder.

" okay okay "

I said going to her side hugging her.

I saw William escorting him out the house.

"I'm so sorry, I wish you can find it in your hard to forgive me someday."

Was all he said before William closed the door.

When he was out the door. My sister and I started crying again on the floor.

"I'm sorry lil"

I said In between tears.

"you shouldn't be Beth, you and brother where there from the start you helped mama with the house and me. I'm sorry we have a father like him."

She said wipping my tears.

"I love you sis"

I said kissing her forehead and just staying in each other's embrace.

"we still have a party going on"

She said with a chuckle.

"right the party"

I said with a smile.

"I can send them home so the two of you can rest."

William said from behind us.

"if you don't mind, I'm actually exhausted from all that"

I said.

"I got you baby"

He said then walked away.

Mama, I and Lilly then walked up to my room.

As soon  as my body came to contact with the bed I was almost lights out.

Lilly layed next to me and mama took the long  couch. Seconds later darkness took over.
