No nightmares tonight. I appeared to have woken up on the right side of the bed. There's extra pep in my step and everything seems to be perfect. A light breeze trails in through my window, followed by the sound of birds chirping a tune that I would usually find annoying, but today I find it's as soothing as a lullaby.
I find my self lightly swaying around my room while picking out my outfit. With my magic, I start my record player and the sweet sound of my favorite Beatles album begins. The amount of sleep I got has enough fuel to put me in a good mood forever. My magic also doesn't feel like the weight of an elephant on my shoulders anymore, it's quaint and at my demand. I twirl as I bend the morning light to enter my room at the right angle. Shadows mixed with sunlight gleam on the walls and circle with every turn I make. Once I was dressed in a short, black leather skirt, tank top, and a jean jacket over, I start working on my hair. I felt good. I looked good. There's no more scars left on my body, no more bruises for bystanders to question. Why shouldn't I wear a outfit I look good in? Sure, it was a bit skimpy but sometimes in life you need skimpy.
I walked down the stairs to surprisingly find no arguments, not a single spark of bickering. I raise my eyebrows as I see my two siblings already sitting and ready to go. Logan was reading a grimore and Maya was scanning the words over his shoulder.
My eyebrows raise. "Okay, what's going on?"
They turned, startled by my sudden appearance. Even Maya didn't hear me. "What do you mean?" She asks.
"Where's the fighting? The smell of burnt flesh and furniture ruined?"
Logan sighed, "We felt bad about that dinner with Isaac." Maya nodded in agreement. "We never meant to hurt him, or you. But I guess it was hard. I don't know why, but it was."
I make my way to the kitchen. "It's fine, I understand. We don't trust easily. Ever." I think about all of the people I have been trusting. I believe them to be loyal like me, but one can never tell.
Maya shows up next to me. She tried to sneak up on me but I could hear her get off the couch. "Recover. Restore. Revive."
"That's our motto," I reply, sort of caught off guard as I open the fridge.
"I think you're in your revive stage."
"Is that so?"
"Yeah," she nabs a small gogurt before I close the refrigerator door. "You're outfits are coming to life. And you seem happier."
I lean against the counter taking a bite out of the leftover cake I made a while ago, it was still perfectly preserved with Logans magic. "Dinner was a disaster but desert was great."
She shrugs. "Isaac isn't smelly like I thought he would be." Our laughs shake our body.
I take my seat in English. The windows from the bird attack was fixed a while ago and the sun gleams through. Isaac takes the seat next to me and we talk about the book we've all been reading. Rafael, Scott, Stiles, Allison, and Lydia converse around us. The assignment was simple: read and discuss the protagonists morals. We've already discussed so we move on to a different topics, as does everyone else.
"They like me?"
I grin. "I told you they would."
Isaac nods happily. He looks past me where Raf is. I turn my head slightly and from the corner of my eye I can see my best friend talking to Allison. All part of my plan, which is basically the start of courting. Raf would talk to her, learn her interests, find out more about her. Then he would ask to hang out, but not as a date, something like studding outside or getting coffee. And if the hang out goes well, he would ask her on a official date. I watch him fluster a bit while listening to him speak and I let out a low laugh. Isaac looks back at me with a smile. "When did that start?"
