My mind is reeling. I feel like I'm just going through the motions. Everything blurs past me: Lydia getting into an ambulance, me telling Raf to stay with Isaac, being in the back of Stiles's jeep on our way to Dereks loft, and stopping at Deatons real quick before we meet with Derek.
Scott and Stiles explain what Miss Blake did and how she's the one who is behind the sacrifices. I sit, cross legged, trying another locator spell on the Sheriff. Nothing's working though. Every spell I know that would help find Stiles dad doesn't work.
Stiles grabs my arm softly. I gaze into his sad eyes. "I'm sorry- none of it is working. I can't find where he is."
Stiles helps me stand. "That's okay, you tried. Scott says she's here," he nods over to a place we can hide behind, "come on."
We walk behind a wall. We're all silent, even when we hear her heels click against the metal floors. It sends anger through me faster than you can ask what the fuck is a banshee.
"Derek?" God, even her voice is frustrating. "Derek, where are you?"
"Right here."
"Thank God!" I think she gives him a hug. "Something happened at the recital, at the school, okay? I need to tell you before you hear it, before you hear it for any of them." She's going to try to lie to him.
Well guess what bitch, we already told him the real story.
"From who?"
"Scott, Stiles, maybe even Phoebe." It sounds like she rolls her eyes. I bite the inside of my cheek and Scott places a hand on my shoulder to calm me down. "They're gonna tell you things- things you can't believe. You have to trust me, okay? You trust me."
"What is it?"
"Promise you'll listen to me."
"I promise."
There's a silence. "They're already here, aren't they?" We take that as our que to walk out. Scott stands the closest to her while keeping his distance, I stand the furthest, and Stiles is in the middle. "So, they told you it was me? That I'm the one taking people?"
"We told him you're the one killing people," Scott corrected.
Blake scoffs. "Oh, that's right. Committing human sacrifices? What, cutting their throats? Yeah, I probably do it on my lunch hour- that way, I can get back to teaching high school English the rest of the day. Makes perfect sense."
A tear runs down Stiles cheek and I grip his hand hoping that it will help support him. "Where's my dad?" His voice is shaky but strong.
"How should I know?" Blake looks at us with disgust and it pisses me off further. "Derek, tell me you don't believe this?"
"Do you know what happened to Stiles' father?"
"No!"
"Ask her why she almost killed Lydia," Scott counters.
"Lydia Martin? I don't know anything about that!"
Thunder cracks outside like it's representing my emotions.
It's amazing how she keeps pushing this like she's actually innocent. She sacrificed multiple people, nearly killed Lydia, took Stiles dad, and stabbed Isaac. I want her blood to boil.
"What do you know?" Derek presses.
"I know that these children, for whatever misguided reason, are filling your head with an absurd story- And one they can't prove, by the way."
How about I prove it by slitting her throat and seeing how she feels when her body lays dead for some cops to find. Because that's what she does. She's done it to countless people.
