Isaac's arm is holding my waist, once in a while his hand trails down my thigh but then comes back to rest at my hip. We're on top of my bed watching Pirates of the Caribbean on my old laptop. Isaac doesn't seem to interested in it while he creates a trail of hickeys on my shoulders and nape.
I giggle at the crazy actions of Captain Jack Sparrow.
Isaac pulls me closer against his chest. I've never spooned with someone before and I think it may be my favorite thing in the world. Our legs are twisted together. "What are you laughing at?" He nips at my neck.
"The movie, which you suggested we watch. You don't seem too interested in it."
"How can I be interested with you right here next to me."
I turn to face him. His hair is dangling in his face, the way I like it, and his shirt is rising with each breath he takes. My hand slides up his shirt and rests on the left side of his chest, above his heart. I think about how we haven't shared "I love you's" yet. Haven't gone too far yet. But I like it this way, taking our time, allowing ourselves to bask in each others presence.
He brushes the hair back from my eyes. His finger draws circles along my face. I stare at him, observing every part of him that I have. He's all mine. And the thought of it is euphoric.
"What are you thinking about?"
"Everything. Us. How lucky I am to have you."
"You will always have me, Phoebe." The way he says my name is exhilarating. It rolls off his tongue like he's been fated to say my name a thousand times over. He presses my hand harder against his chest. "My heart is yours. Do what you want with it."
I look at him sincerely. "I won't ever break it. I promise."
Isaac slowly meets his lips to mine. It takes my breath away. His hand on my waist slides to the small of my back. His fingers splay across my skin causing a radiating heat in my back. He pulls me closer now, so that my chest is touching his. Isaacs heart is beating against mine.
I turn around again so he doesn't see the flustered face he creates. He leans slightly and places a warm kiss on my back. My heart stutters at a inhuman speed. He hums a laugh into my back. Then, going downwards, he starts trailing kisses along on my spine. He goes back up when my low back tshirt is blocking his way. I resist the urge to shudder under his touch.
Lots of shit is going down at school when I'm not there. Danny barfed up mistletoe and two doctors went missing, presumably to be sacrificed. Sacrifices seem to be pulled out of nowhere. Well, not exactly nowhere, they're definitely coming from somewhere. I haven't been in school for a week. I've been keeping up with work though, it's not like I have a choice when Allison keeps bringing me all of my homework. Whenever she's over she subtly asks questions about Raf, small enough to think I won't take notice. I do.
Logan said he wanted to go to school and I guess Maya wanted to make sure he didn't go crazy. The schools are right next to each other so Maya tends to listen in on his conversations, which gets on his nerves. I take my free days off in stride. Not once have I cried, or stressed, or even had nightmares. I think Isaac had something to do with the last part.
He stands behind me now, in a blue shirt with a grey zip up over. Life is good when Isaac Lahey is wearing blue. I flip a pancake over and turn the music up once just because it was too quiet. I'm in shorts, my hair's a mess, and I'm a little dizzy but it doesn't stop me from dancing like I'm Uma Thurman.
Isaac slips his arms around my waist, slowing my swaying hips. "Come on, Phoebe." He places his lips to the corner of my neck. "You need to get out of this house, you've been cooped up too long."
