Chapter 10

Kim's POV

It has been a couple days since Sjin took me here. I thought that Duncan would be in contact or be here, but so far I have been disappointed.

I wasn't to good at magic and i knew that a message would make we weak. But I had to try to communticate I had not seen anyone but Sjin and his guards for days. And they don't really count.

I streched my arms out infront of me, closed my eyes, foucusing on Duncan, and I spread them quickly apart.

I felt so drained, which means it worked. I opened my eyes and saw a circle infront of me. And what I saw in the circle was reassuring. It was Lewis, Rythian, and Duncan sitting around a table looking in maps.

"Hello." I said weakly trying to catch their attention. It worked. Lewis looked up from the map and gasped.

"Rythian! Duncan! It's Kim!" He yelled surprised. Rythian and Duncan looked up quickly.

"Kim! But...but...how?" Duncan asked looking at me with a worried expression.

"It's a magical message. I'm drained but it's worth it." I said looking at the 3 boys. "We have to be careful though. Sjin could come at any minute. Be ready to cut the connection."

"Oh course. How are you?" Lewis asked.

"I guess I'm ok. I wish I knew why Sjin chose me." 

"I'm glad you're ok. Do you know where you are?" Rythian asked hopefuly.

"No. I have no idea where I am. The only things I have seen are the dungeons, the throne room, and this tower." I said gesturing over my shoulder at the tower's one and only room.

"Well Don't worry Kim, we will find you and get you out of there." Duncan said in a reassuring tone. Suddenly I heard footsteps just outside my door, getting closer and closer. The guards were here.

"Bye." I said quickly befroe cutting the concection. I looked back on their faces before hurrying to lay down on my bed as if the call had never happened. A guard opened the door and said,

"You presence is requested,  you must go down to the throne room." I stood up knowing that there was no way that I would be able to not go. 

The guard walked me to the throne room taking the usual path. I entered the room head down, staring at the floor.

"Kim. Look at your love." Sjin said with a smile. I didn't look up.

"I am not your love." I said to the floor. Sjin stood up and walked towards me. Whe he reached me he grabbed my face and kissed me.

"I don't see Duncan or Rythian. You are my princess. They arent here to protect you this time."

"Princess? What do you mean?"

"You see Kim. Rythian has been protecting you forever. Then Duncan feel in love with you and he hepled look after you too. But you are my princess now."

"I'm NOT a princess." 

"Anyway. Time to discuss the arrangments."

"Arrangments for what exactly?"

"Our marrige of course." Sjin said with a little laugh that didn't reach is cold eyes.

"I'm not getting married to you!" I said lindignatly.

"Well not yet. But for now I want you to change out of that." He said gesturing at my kimono. "Put on this. You have to wear it." Then a guard brought out a dress.

It was long and the skirt went down to the floor. It was gold and purple. It was mostly purple with a little gold on the skirt. It also had gold strings on the top. The best thing aboust was it wasn't one of those poofy princess dresses.

In my room I knew that I had to change. Sjin wanted me back down afterwards. Apparently we werent done. I wish we I could not go back down, but that would probably get me hurt.

I opened the door and a guard took me to the throne room. When we had got back I saw that there was a semi-circle of guards. I knew where I was supposed to stand. And I was right. The guard brought me over to the guards and the grabbed my arms.

"Alright." Sjin said sitting on his throne. "You will not show any signs of liking to anyone but me. I am about to call your 'savoirs' and you will not show liking to them. Only to me."

"Fine." I said. I knew that there was no point arguing with him. Sjin nodded in satisfaction. Then he streached his arms out infront of him, closed his eyes, and spread them apart. I could tell that it had worked.

"Ah...Duncan, Rythian, Lewis. Still looking for Kim?" He said.

"Sjin. Where is she!" I heard Duncan's voice shout, anger in every syllable.

"Oh she's right here." and the communtication turned so that Duncan, Rythian, and Lewis could see me. I remembered what Sjin had said and didn't show emotion.

"Kim what's wrong?" Rythian asked in a loving tone. I just tried not to show any emotion and didn't answer. But a tear escaped my walls. A single tear.

"Goodbye guys have fun with that little map thing." Sjin said cutting the connection with a swipe of his hand. "Kim. You and I shall wed soon. There is nothing you can do."

And with that the guards brought me back into my tower where I was, once again, locked into. Once the guards had all left and I could no longer hear their footsteps, I sat down on the bed and I started crying into my hands.
