Edna's POV

I sat slumped against a large oak tree, I had gotten away from everyone and everything and it was peaceful and quiet, just the way I liked it. But apparently, everyone is in this part of the forest because just as I had started to fall into a light sleep there was a slightly muffled scream. I looked around and saw a girl with long, curly hair that was black and with red highlights. Her hand was clasped over her hand and she started to back slowly away from me as if I were about to attack her.

"Just so you know, I'm not gonna attack you." I reassured, leaning back against the tree and feeling the rough texture of the bark against my skin.

"Who... who a-are y-you?" She stuttered, obviously frightened of me.

"Edna." I replied calmly, flying over to the girl who flinched and backed away slightly.

"Bruh, I'm not going to hurt you." I repeated, using a tone as if she was a 5 year-old to help me get my point across.

"I'm, Evelyn." Evelyn told me, standing up straight and taking a deep breath as if gathering her courage. I would've said someone else but a boy came running out of the bushes. I looked at the boy who had ran and to the girl and it hit me.

"Hey, Ash." I greeted, before turning to look at Evelyn once again, "I knew there was something familiar about you!"

"Wait, what do you mean?" Evelyn asked, looking from (who I assumed was her brother) to me.

"Sis, this is the demon-girl who I told you about, the one who helped me." Ash explained, so they were brother and sister. Another man burst through the bushes, What is with people and coming here? I thought, before getting a better look at the man.

"Rythian!" I exclaimed, flying towards the man and doing a spin mid-air right over his head.

"Wha- E-Edna?" He asked, obviously confused.

"Yep! That's meeee!" I sung, going down to the ground and standing on the grass.

"Edna get away from him." Mac growled from behind me, because everyone is here!

"Why? It's not like he's dangerous." I scoffed, turning to face him and putting my hands on my hips.

"He's an enderborn." He explained, looking at Rythian with pure hate in his usually kind eyes. I shuddered, I had no idea he was like that.

"What's wrong with me being an enderborn?" Rythian asked, his eyes also full of hate.

"Nether and Ender don't mix, come on Edna, let's go." Mac ordered, I nodded in agreement and we both briskly walked away from the scene.

"I'm sorry Mac, I had no idea." I apologized, looking into his teal eyes.

"It's okay Edna, I just don't want you to get hurt." He said lovingly, twisting a strand of my red hair around his finger.

"I know, and I promise to be more careful." I responded. We smiled and were both caught off guard when there was a loud bang not too far away.

"What was that?" I inquired, my muscles tense.

"It was probably nothing." Mac assured, but I had already started to run towards the sound. When I got to where the sound had come from, I saw a lot of smoke and coughed as I continued to walk into it. I almost walked right into a huge crater in front of a large metal door. A short dwarf and a tall brunette walked out of the huge door wearing lab coats, gloves, and goggles.

"Well friend, looks like the testificates are gonna have to fill this in." The tall brunette sighed, his voice drifting over to where I stood.

"Lewis, who's that?" the dwarf asked, pointing at me.

"I don't know." Lewis said thoughtfully.

"I can hear you, you know." I said, walking towards the men.

"What's your name?" The dwarf asked.

"Your's for mine." I replied.

"Lewis, and that's Simon." Lewis introduced.

"Edna." I replied, "What's with the, crater?"

"Oh, occupational hazard." Lewis explained.

"I see." I nodded.

"What kind of creature are you?" Simon quired, looking at my wings strangely.

"I'm, uh, part demon." I informed, getting ready to fly away, and I did.

"Are you okay? What happened? Do I need to check it out?" Mac rambled, walking up to me and shaking my shoulders.

"Um, yes, there was an explosion, and no." I replied, answering all of the questions in order. I loved that he was so worried for me.
