Chapter 24

Hey my Dunkim fans. Are you ready for a whole new chapter? Yea you are. You...You are. Anyone else know someone that you don't like but they act like they are your best friend? No...no just me? :( ok...ok...*sniff* ok...well the-e-e story-y-y. Yea. :(

Lewis's POV

We had been stuck in this dungeon with nothing to do. All we got to eat was bread and water. We got the ocasional tiny slice of meat. I think that the meat was from Rowan. Bless her awesome elven soul.

I knew that Martyn had feeling for her, and I knew that him of all people was miserable to be here. He hasn't talked for days and kept to himself.

The stone floor of the dungeon was freezing cold. And the food was getting stale. We were all trapped in this never ending nightmare, and I wish I would wake up.

I looked over at Hannah. She was as bruised as the rest of us. I hated seeing the girl I love looking like this. She looked hurt and weak. I want to rip Akio limb from limb for hurting my friends and family.

Rowan's POV

I had a plan fully formed in my head. I needed to free my friends. Even though I had to be trapped, doesn't mean that my friends have to be trapped too.

All that I had to do was get into Akio's bed chambers unnoticed, steel the key, and get down to the dungeons. Sound easy enough right? No. It won't be easy. I have to be very cautious.

Tonight, I was going to get onto the outside of the castle, climb my way to the bed chamber and dungeons and so on so forth.

It was almost midnight, I stoped moving, listening for noise. When I heard nothing, I silently opened the window and stepped onto the balcony. I looked silently down at the ground, I saw that there were a few guards. I would have to be carful.

I climbed onto the outside of the castle, and carfully started to walk along the edge making no noise. I passed from window to window. I finally reached the window of the room where Akio had the key.

I peeked through the window and saw that Akio wasn't in the room. I was lucky. Now all I had to do was open the window. I looked at all the grooves and designs. I looked at the window frame and saw a tiny latch. I reached for the bronze latch and attemped to open the window.

The window refused to open. It was locked shut. Crap. Well...this just got a lot harder. I would've sat down, but I wanted to stay hidden and on the window sil. I needed to break through the window, but it would then be clear that I was here and I got in through the window. Curse Akio's security!

I looked again at the intricate designs on the window, and had an idea. Akio was very big headed no doubt about that, but he had people to do his work for him.

I spotted a grove on the window frame that looked almost like a cut. It looked like an arrow. I smirked and followed where the arrow pointed.

Right across from that arrow there was another that pointed up to yet another arrow. This arrow pointed to my right. I looked where it pointed and saw a patteren. I smiled. I scanned the window for that design and found it. I pressed my had into it and heard a click I unlocked the window...hopefuly.

I lifted my hand from the patteren and reached for the broonze latch. Still locked. I pressed my hand back onto the patteren and took my other hand and grasped the latch. The latch was unlocked. I opened the window and stepped carefuly inside the room. There wasn't a sound.

I closed the window and started my search for the keys to the dungeon cells. I saw a tiny box on a table drapped with a silver tablecloth. I picked up the box and saw that it had a key hole. Darn Akio's security messures!

Wait...this wasn't a complicated lock. I can pick it. I reached into my hair and pulled out a bobby pin. I stuck it in the key hole and messed around. The box stayed stubbornly locked. I sighed.

Then I made a wood key grow out of a near my flower pot. I picked up the key and put it in the lock. The lock clicked and the box opened. the box's inside was filled with red velvet. I pulled out a key ring that lay in the middle, and closed the box. I heard a click thta ment it had locked once again. I climbed back onto the window ledge and closed the window.

I almost ran along the window ledge but stopped my self. I was going to save my friends!
