Alex's POV

I just sat at Panda labs, wondering what I should do. I was never going to see mom or dad again. They don't remember me. Everyone is gone except us young peoples. There is honestly nothing to do. Beca can supply some food, but she's not very good at it and we are going to run out.

Right now, I'm sat atop Panda labs hill with Tiddles 8, at least Tiddles is still here. I stood up and picked up Tiddles.

"Come on Tiddles, let's go home." I said, walking to Panda labs. I got home and saw the heads on the wall. I put Tiddles down and remembered when Mom told me that she and Dad killed all of those creatures to get that. I stood on the elevator block and went down to the last floor.

There was dad's chair that he had brought down along with the meeting table from upstairs. I took off my lab coat and placed it on the back of dads chair. I walked back to the elevator block and went to the top floor.

I went into my room and grabbed my wan from Kim, it had my name and her flower on it. I wen back down to the last floor and put it on the table. I did this multiple times. When I was done I blocked off the entrance and went to my room.

I changed into a turquoise loose crop top, simple ripped jeans, and a pair of turquoise flip flops. I grabbed my purple and red hover board (Yes, I have a hover board) and went to find some paint. I found a bucket of sea green paint and painted my hover board sea green.

I waited for the paint to dry then I went to see my friends. They all commented on my new look, but I refused to tell them why. I just needed a fresh start.

Beca's POV

I ran toward PandaLabs to find my friends. When I got there, I didn't even bother knocking.

"Guys! Guys!" I yelled, running into the kitchen to find Alex, and the others sitting around the table.

"What?" Anna asked, looking at me.

"You know how I'm not so good at, uh, growing food for us?" I asked.

"Yeah..." Asher said, inviting me to continue.

"I know how we can get food!" I said.

"Really?" Anna asked, interested.

"How?" Evie asked, standing up.

"We just have to sneak into Sjin's farm and nick some stuff from there." I told them. They didn't look excited at the idea.

"I don't know." Alex said.

"Come on guys." I said.

"But stealing from Sjin is--" Anna started to say, but I cut her off mid sentence.

"Dangerous. I know. But we don't have much of a choice. We're running out if food." I said.

"It's too risky. Sjin's evil. If he caught us..." Evie said, trailing off.

"Well, I'm doing it. No matter how risky it is. We need food." I said.

"You can't sneak into Sjin's farm." Asher said.

I was getting slightly angry. I mean, my best friends didn't believe that I could do this.

"Watch me." I said. Then I stormed out of PandaLabs, leaving the others sitting there shocked.

I pulled out my hover board and headed towards Sjin's Farm. In the back of my mind there was a voice telling me that this was a bad idea, but I decided to ignore it and continued towards my destination.

I reached the chilli field that marked the entrance to Sjin's Farm. I took a deep breath and continued into Sjin's farm. It was... well there's no other way to put it, quiet, too quiet.

My curiosity took over and I went towards the farm house. I got off my hover board and tucked it under my arm. I entered the house, my heart beating fast. I tentatively climbed up the stairs and came to Sjin's bedroom. My this time my heart was beating like a drum. I saw a book laying on Sjin's bed. It was titled 'Diary'.

My curiosity still in charge if my mind, I picked up the book and flipped through the pages. The last entry was a long time ago. It was a short entry, but a slip of paper. I bent down and saw that the paper had 'Nether' written on it.

I left the farm house and headed towards the nether portal and went through it. My heart beat didn't slow as I saw the fiery realm appear before my eyes. I stepped out if the portal and instantly felt my vine jewellery wilt and fall onto the hot nether rack.

I looked around and when I looked forward to see a gigantic castle. The nether brick structure towered over the lava, leaving the hot red liquid to bubble in its massive shadow. I walked slowly towards it before hearing a voice behind me.

"What are you doing?!" The voice asked, causing me to halt in my tracks. I spun around to see Asher standing right outside the portal.

"Ash?" I asked, confused beyond belief.

"Beca, why are you in the Nether?" He asked.

"Why are you even here?" I asked, not in a threatening way, but a way that showed my immense confusion.

"I realized that it was safer together than alone at Sjin's Farm. I just saw you go through the portal and followed you through." Asher said.

"Well, I noticed that it was eerily quiet, I went to do some snooping and found a tiny slip of paper that had 'Nether' written on it, so I came here." I explained, after all, he had told me why he was here.

"That's...that's actually a pretty good reason." Asher said, looking slightly impressed.

We both looked up at the castle. Guess I'm not alone anymore.
