Chapter 11

I'm sorry that there hasn't been more Duncan, it has been a lot of Kim. I will try to put a little bit more of Duncan and Rythain. I will try. I will try.

Duncan's POV

Rythian, Lewis, and I were STILL looking through maps. Rythian wasn't kidding. He has a LOT if maps. I had just put down a map and was reaching for another one, when I heard Sjin's voice saying,

"Ah...Duncan, Rythian, Lewis. Still looking for Kim?" He was smiling in a good-luck-finding-kim-you-will-never-find-her sort of way.

"Sjin. Where is she!" I yelled anger was boiling inside me.

"Oh she's right here." Sjin said and the communication message turned so that Rythian, Lewis, and I could see Kim. She was being held by guards and was wearing a purple dress with a bit of gold on the skirt.

"Kim what's wrong?" Rythian asked in a loving tone. Looking through the message at his sister. I knew exactly why he was asking. Kim was staring at the floor not looking at any of us. But we saw a single tear slide down her cheek.

"Goodbye guys have fun with that little map thing." Sjin said cutting the connection with a swipe of his hand.

"Ok, well we are near the map to Kim I can feel it." Lewis said. I wasn't reassured by this but I pretended ot be. I didn't know what else to do.

"Guys, I found it!" Rythian shouted handing us the map that he had just been looking at. It had a picture of a castle with 4 towers. It seemed to be made of stone bricks.

"Ok guys," Lewis said looking up from the map, "according to this map to find Kim we have to go southeast.

"Hannah! Zoey! We know where Kim is, and we are going to go save her and destroy Sjin!" I shouted to the girls who where upstairs.

"Cool! Wait for us." Zoey's voice said, and she and Hannah came down the stairs.

"You guys can't come, Sjin would capture you." Rythian said.

"No he won't, we will be fine." Hannah said exapseratedly.

"He will get you. He is strong now. Just stay here." Lewis said looking pleadingly into the girls' eyes.

"Fine, you go then." Zoey said. And she and Hannah went back upstairs and left the boys to their work.

"So we leave first thing tommarow." I said. "That way we will have time to get everything we need ready, and get some sleep." Lewis and rythian agreed and Lewis and I, went to our houses to get our stuff ready for the trip.

Kim's POV

I cried into my hands. I couldn't bear to not show liking to them. I missed them. But Now I know that they are trying to find me, and I am thankful for that.

I wanted to keep crying, but I knew that I had to stay strong for Duncan, Lewis, and Rythian. The only thing I could do is keep saying to myself.

"They'll be here soon Kim. They will be here." over and over to myself. It gave me strength. And right now, that was a miricale.

As I lay on my bed I wonder for the millionth time, "Why me? why did Sjin chose me?"

I was thinking about the meeting, in want of a better word, when Sjin had called me a princess. I was NO princess. Especially not HIS princess.

I wondered what would happen when Duncan, Lewis, and Rythian came. Would they get me out of here. Or would they kill Sjin then get me out. I just wanted to see them again.

I needed to remember something, something that could give me strength. Then a remembered...

Flashback Starts

Hannah, Zoey, and I were running in a forest clearing, playing tag. Hannah came into sight yelling. "Hey guys, look at this." We went to see what she had found and saw a river that sparkled in the sunlight. There were 3 purple stones. The worked them onto necklaces.

I reached into my pocket and found the necklace. It was as if the memory had brought it to her. It probably had, I knew that it was a powerful memory. I put on the necklace.

Zoey's POV

"Hannah!" I asked running towards my friend, "Hannah did you feel that?!"

"I did," She replied, "The necklace, Kim must be wearing it!" I was confused. How?

"How did she get it?" I asked Hannah, hoping for answers.

"I have no idea. But we should put ours on too. It could be important."

"You're right. We should also ask Duncan or Rythian to see if they know how Kim got her necklace." I said. Hannah nodded and we rushed downstairs to find the boys. They were in the kitchen packing food.

"Rythian, Duncan, Lewis." Hannah said, "Kim has her necklace, the one that we made."

"We were wondering, if you guys know how she got it." I said looking hopefuly at the boys.

"I have no idea." Rythian, Duncan, and Lewis said in unison.

"Well that was helpful." I said sasrcaticly, "Have fun saving Kim."

Kim's POV

I looked down at my necklace, it was glowing. I knew what that meant, Zoey and Hannah had put their necklaces on as well. I smiled. This necklace must be magical.

I knew, I don't know how I knew but I did. I knew that this necklace would give me protection. And that is very helpful in my situation.
