So, say you go to someone's house. You find some of the decorations are not suited to your taste. Would you just go and tell the owner of the house and abuse them because their home doesn't match your tastes, or would you just say nothing and be polite?
Conversely, somebody who doesn't live in your home comes and tells you they don't like how you've decorated your own house, would you change it all just to please them or would you tell them that's how you like it, that it's not their house so their tastes really don't matter?
Somebody gives you clothes and they're okay. They're not a perfect fit. Would you wear ill-fitted clothes or would you get them altered to fit you better? Indians believe death is nothing more than the soul leaving the old, worn-out body like we leave old, worn-out clothes. If we're able to comprehend the complicated concept of death with this simple analogy, why is it difficult for you to comprehend transitioning or tattooing or coloring hair with the same analogy?
My body is a temple, agreed, but it is a temple dedicated to me. I live in my body, so shouldn't I be the one deciding how it is decorated?
