There are some people whose life is just not in their hands. They just keep adjusting and compromising. They want the smaller things in life, like a shoulder to lean on at the end of the day, someone to hug them when they're tired, someone to kiss their forehead when they feel like shit, someone to recognise their negative emotions and initiate something to repel that. They either don't have the courage to tell people they need them (because of fear of disturbance or annoyance) or they just don't have people who understand or are willing to understand. Those who understand just drift away, and we have no control over that because its their fricking life. It's happening because of a bigger thing in their life, and they think it doesn't matter to you, because to them, it would be a really small thing if they were in your place.
And. It. Hurts. So. Much.
Yet you can't do anything about it because you can't pin them to the ground or cage them just because you need them, so you just let go.
Let. Go.
