It was embarrassing, and the whole time I wanted to run away and hide. Dancing in front of dozens of eyes just for the sake of pleasure to the beholder is twisted. Making someone perform is just as wrong.

I hated it, and I'm glad it's over. I didn't ask questions after I was finally off of the stage, nor did I say a word unless spoken to on the ride back to his mansion.

At the end of the day, I said I wanted to live and still do, so at least for now, I can say a little bit of embarrassment is worth living for another day.

When we arrive back at his mansion, I fight the urge to comment on his rudeness.

"Truthfully, you sucked." He admits while stepping out of the fancy vehicle. "I felt embarrassed putting you on stage." He softly laughs when coming around the vehicle to face me.

"However, your innocence gained me a few hundred, so I can't be all that mad." He admits while holding his palm out for me.

I take his hand and carefully walk into the luxurious home. I hold back the urge to rip my hand out of his, but I think better on it.

If this is going to work, then I have to endure it. I have to if I want to live, and I know that just as much as he does.

"So how do you think you did?" He asks once we step through the entrance doors.

"I hated it." I'm blunt with my words, but at least I'm truthful. "Women are more than objects, so of course, I hated every second of it. I would rather—"

"I'd be careful with that last sentence. You realize I can still easily take your life, right? If you don't obey me, then it's over, just like that." He snaps his fingers for dramatic effect, and I can't stand how my skin crawls with disgust from his quick, yet small, action.

"Are we done? I understand everything, so can I just sleep?" I know I'm pushing it, but I just want to get the farthest I can away from him. Anyone should want to be far from this man.

He moves his arm towards the staircase. "By all means, but I expect an answer about tonight. Are you willing to go back and dance every night or will you take me up on my first offer?" He holds his hand up before I can respond. "Sleep on it for a couple of days, and then I want a real answer because whatever you decide will not be changed."

I stare at him with hate in my heart and the shade of red in my very eyes. I never knew I could hate a person as much as I do him.

Stepping up the stairs, I choose to ignore his remark and head straight to the room Alice showed me earlier. As much as I wanted to stay awake and find a way out of this place, I can't. It's too risky.

When I walk into the room that's now mine, I take my outfit off, toss my shoes to the side, and don't even bother wiping the makeup off of my face. It'll just remind me of the bruise that's there and the terrifying situation I'm stuck in.

I awake to the loud sound of music blasting through the bedroom. The sound is vibrating the floor so much that I catch the alarm clock from hitting the floor just in time.

Sitting up in bed, I see a sight I'm not all too prepared for. I see a girl dancing with brown hair flying in the air.

"Oh, you're awake!" She suddenly turns to me while cutting down the loud music.

"Yeah, who couldn't be?" Maybe I'm a bit rude, but waking up to ear-ringing music is not a good way to start the day.

She smiles innocently. "My bad," she flips her brown hair out of her eyes and smiles widely.

This is when I recognize her. She's the girl named GiGi that I saw Alice talking to yesterday.

"We should get some breakfast," instantly, she rushes to me and grabs my wrist to pull me out of bed. She laughs when she sees I'm only in my underwear and grabs a nearby white, tee shirt to put over me. "There we go. Now we can eat,"

She guides me out of the bedroom and down the hallway with a happy personality the whole way.

"You're very lucky." She comments.

"Lucky?" I almost scoff at the word.

She nods when we start to head down the stairs to the ground floor. I see maids and butlers rushing around once seeing we're awake.

"Yep, you're lucky that you have a roommate like me. I'll take good care of you. Thankfully, I got to come home this morning, so we should have the whole mansion to ourselves for the day. I think the others are coming back tomorrow." She admits when we walk into the kitchen.

Instantly, I smell the fresh scent of bacon, eggs, and pancakes.

We take our seats at the large table and wait for the food to be brought out. She sits quietly while resting her chin in her palm and swinging her legs back and forth.

"Where's..." I pause and decide it would be better if I pointed upstairs instead.

When her eyes follow upwards, she giggles to herself.

"You mean Taehyung?" She smiles when she sees my shocked state. "I think he left earlier, but I don't know," she looks off with a pout. "The food should be done by now."

"Well, do you know where he went?" I ask when her attention comes back to me.

She just shrugs. "I don't know, but he always leaves in the mornings and comes back around lunch. It's like a ritual of some kind. I think he's secretly—"

"That's enough, GiGi," suddenly, I hear a familiar voice and see Alice when I turn around in my seat.

"I take it you decided to become one of his girls?" She asks with a smirk once seeing me. It's almost a content smirk, but I still don't know how much I can trust her.

"I'm not sure yet. He had me dance last night for a side job if I didn't want to do the offer he wanted me to. I only took that option because I didn't want to seduce him, and I still don't."

Alice sighs heavily once hearing me.

"Ada, you're not making this situation any easier for yourself." Alice comes around the table and takes a seat of her own. "I promise the more time you spend here, getting to know us, and understanding him, you'll see the bigger picture."

I don't say anything, but when the food arrives and lands right in front of me, I take a bite just to make sure I don't have to talk about him anymore this morning.
