I don't know what's worse—GiGi getting in trouble or getting caught before I can attempt to run. Either way, it's not a good scenario to be in at all.

GiGi doesn't deserve to be upset, especially if she has nothing to do with it. She didn't even know I was planning on running. I know I just met her, but I feel awful that she's taking the blame, or at least from what I heard she is.

It's silent in the car, during the ride back, and parking the vehicle in the driveway.

When the tires stop moving, I look out of the window and see Alice standing on the porch steps with a sour expression.

I don't feel like dealing with a lecture about how an amazing person Taehyung is, or how he's so generous to women, or anything remotely close to that.

He uses women for money, provides a stable home, and in return, these women fall victim to his charms. It's fucked up, and even though I might be stuck here, I won't become one of them.

Opening the car while holding in my sigh, she waits impatiently for me to walk towards her. When I do, I notice her arms are crossed over her chest while her index finger taps her other arm with annoyance.

"The longer you're here, the more trouble you cause." She turns on her black heels and walks into the mansion where I follow.

"How am I supposed to react to being kidnapped? I don't want to be here, to play this game of his, to be looked at as a money-maker instead of a person. How would you react if you were in my shoes—"

"I would be honored that he gave me the opportunity to become part of his house. You're a lucky girl, Ada, but it seems everyone else can see it except for you." She turns to face me.

She sighs before dropping her serious expression. "I doubted him once, too. He has an arrogant personality and likes to mess with people, but he's harmless. Yes, he makes money from the girls, but how do you expect him to keep this place running? He's not forcing anyone in here to stay—if they want to leave, they can break the contract they have with him and be gone just like that, but you're different from the rest."

"You witnessed what was supposed to be a quick murder at the back of a lowlife club." She pauses to take a breath before speaking further.

"Taehyung is far from being perfect, but he takes care of things. He gave you a choice, and to be completely honest, I don't think he would have an innocent person killed. If anything, I believe he's just trying to make sure you don't report him. His career means everything to him—"

"Save the sob story for somebody who gives a damn. He kidnapped me, slapped me, and made me perform on stage to perverted eyes!"

"At least you're not dead. You know, he's had many opportunities to do awful things to you, and the only thing he's done is slap you, yet you're complaining? He shouldn't be putting hands on women, and I'll mention that to him, but just stop and think about how misfortune other women in your shoes are and be thankful he's still trying to give you something good here."

She knows just as much as I do that her words aren't changing my opinion about him, so she stops before she can say anymore.

"Just don't cause any more trouble," she walks away, leaving me and my thoughts alone.
