GiGi and I explained what was going to happen, but surprised yet again, the girls were in for it. Some of them have always suspected Alice to be suspicious, and they never once trusted her, something I wish I would've learned much earlier.
The girls decided to make a plan to get her, leaving me to talk with the police when they came by later on.
I was more than shocked that these girls wanted in on doing a criminal act, but they all brought up how Taehyung killed for them, and they said it was only right to repay the favor.
Being blessed with the girls who remain, we got started.
While they planned everything upstairs, I would be staying downstairs when the police would drop by. However, when they did, it was sudden, unexpected, and painful to hear, even though I already knew exactly what they were going to tell me.
I invited them inside and two policemen sat down on the couch in the living room to break the news to me. I told them I already knew, but they admitted an investigation would be ongoing to decide what happened for the vehicle to flip as many times as it did. They told me they thought a conflict started with Alice and Taehyung, and honestly, I can see that happening.
While talking about everything, they gave me a little more information that had me crying right away.
"When we made it to the scene, your husband was still alive," one of the cops starts, searching for something in his pocket. "He wanted me to return this to you," he holds out his hand towards me, and when I see what's in his palm, I have to hold every ounce of bravery I have left to take it.
It's Taehyung's wedding ring, and when I take it into my palm, it makes my heart break all over again, shattering just like earlier.
"We tried everything we could to get him out of the vehicle in time, but we just couldn't. He was trapped because of the damage during the flip, and he was stuck inside. Ma'am, I know you don't want to hear this, but because of your husband, he saved two of our men's lives today. If he didn't shout for us to stay back from the vehicle while returning with the proper equipment to set him free, then those two men would be gone, too,"
"So instead of telling the two men to hurry and save him, knowing that they had the tools to get him out of the car, he risked his life so that no one else would perish?" I repeat, watching the officer's head nod slowly.
"In the eyes of the state that may not be seen as a heroic act, but Ma'am, I promise you your husband will never be forgotten at our office. My son was one of the officers he warned, and I will gladly repay the debt to you any day."
The cops both explain a little more of what happened-the information that they knew, but I tried my hardest not to cry, but how could I not? He's gone, dead, burned to nearly nothing, and Alice is the one to blame for it all.

When the officers left, I forced my sadness away, replacing it with anger once again. Sadness wouldn't get Alice out of the hospital, but anger filled with rage surely would.
Walking upstairs, I see the group of girls looking at me with a somewhat confident smile. However, none of the smiles will ever be the same now that he's gone.
"We did it," GiGi walks up to me, holding out a list of things needed.
"Nicki went to the hospital right before the cops came and snuck inside through the back door. She's got a list of the doctors and nurses who will be operating on the floor of the ICU. We have everything planned out, so do you want to wait here for our return? A few girls are willing to stay and help you clean out the basement, while I and the others drive to the hospital,"
As much as I would love to go, I know she's right. If anything, I'll see her face and start a commotion, and then the plan is ruined. It's best to let them handle things there, while I prepare things here.
"That's fine with me, but how many are staying here?" I look around the room, seeing Jinx raise her hand with the other girls I know to be Destiny and Amber do as well.
"Three will stay, and then we'll go. Now, expect us to be gone for a little while but considering it's just now six in the evening, we should still have enough time before visiting hours are over,"
With time ticking and the adrenaline in my body going insane, I tell them we should start, and then, we do.
We all leave the room to get ready for our plan.
The three girls head downstairs with me to clean the basement, which looks not at all that grand considering the mansion above, but it's perfect. We don't want her to feel any warmth or comfort after what she's done.
"They left," Jinx holds up her phone, showing proof to the rest of us.
"Good, now we need to make some space down here. I have a feeling everyone's going to want to watch what's in store for her,"

After a few hours, I watch the headlights of the three vehicles drive up in the driveway from the window, and I rush to the front door where I see GiGi's hair is all in a mess when she gets out of the driver's side while carrying a gun in her hand. She walks up the steps to the door, wiping her mouth that has smeared blood on her lips.
"Don't ask," she walks into the house with the rest of the girls opening the trunk and gathering an unconscious person in their hands-the person being Alice.
"Follow me," I begin while they walk through the house and down the hallway where I lead them downstairs to the spacey room after we cleaned up the place for her arrival.
"Place her in the chair," GiGi instructs while pulling her hair up and tying it in a tight ponytail. "We'll need to get started before she even wakes up," GiGi walks forward when the other girls place Alice in the stable, non-moving chair.
They put a gag in her mouth and secure it tightly. GiGi begins wrapping Alice's hands and ankles in tight restraints, similar to those used in an insane asylum.
Coming to her aid, I help fasten the other side. We glance at each other but say nothing. Standing away from her and her unconscious body, all of us surround her in a circle and stare at the person who took away the person we all loved.
We've all made a pack by now. Silently glancing at one another, we know there's no going back now, but none of us seem to care because Alice never did when she killed Taehyung.
I step forward from the group and grab the bucket next to her that's full of freezing water. I splash her with it without any expression on my face and watch her come to instantly.
Her eyes widen, and she scans the room with confusion, but I enjoy the look on her face. I knew her smirk would vanish soon.
I bend down at eye-level with her like a mother would to her waking child, but my reason for coming so close is to treasure how her face looks now because sooner or later, she'll be just as unrecognizable as Taehyung was.
"It's time to wake up, Alice. We have some business to take care of,"
