The excitement in the room relaxes me. Soft voices of happiness and joy take my doubt and crush it instantly. The room is full of women, staring at me, Taehyung, and each other with joyful expressions of their own.

I don't hear the whispers or almost quiet mumbles when some of the women glance my way. I stand still and proud for them to glance over me and take me in.

For this position, I'll have to be strong—or at least seem that way—even if deep down I don't feel strong while being trapped here.

"Girls, Ada will be living here with us, and she'll be in charge of handling your needs and any problems you might have that you may feel uncomfortable talking to me about. She's going to be head of the house whenever I leave the estate, so you must be able to get along with her." Taehyung begins, shushing their whispers.

"Ada is going to become my wife," this is the moment everything changes.

The soft giggles and sweet expressions vanish almost instantly.

"Wife?" One of the girls stands. Her skin is a beautiful chocolate color with enchanting white braids to go along with her look. "You told us that you were never getting married again," she crosses her arms over her chest, waiting for an explanation.

"Nikki, I said that a long time ago, okay? Life throws situations in our way that we can't always ignore, and Ada is my one weakness. Look at her, I couldn't turn away from such a natural beauty." His words make me tear up with laughter, but I hold it in. It's hilarious how different we're acting towards each other for the sake of selling this lie.

Realizing this is my chance, I step closer into the center of the room and talk calmly.

"Girls, I hope you don't mind me calling you that, but I just want to let you all know I'm one of you. Taehyung is a man, and you're beautiful women who can't always come to him with issues, correct? Sometimes only other women can help because they understand. Most of the time we know what to do, but even then, we still have issues just like everyone in the world—men included." I take a moment to pause, watching some of their heads beginning to nod.

"I want all of you to look at me as a helping aid in your life, not a terrible person who will try to control you whenever Taehyung is away. I've seen horror movies along these lines, and trust me when I say that I'm nothing like that as a person. I may have a temper at times, but I would never misuse the power that I may have over anyone."

Suddenly, Taehyung steps beside me and wraps his arm around my shoulder with a gentle motion.

"She's right in every way. The first time I met her, she was trying to save a man's life who she had never met, despite her life being put on the line. I can promise you that no harm or anything remotely close to it will come your way with Ada being here." After hearing this, I can tell some of the girls relax a tad, but a lot of them still have their guards up.

Taehyung changes the topic after that. "Why don't you go to your rooms and put on your bikinis for the pool? It's looking to be a pretty clear and lovely day." Once hearing that Taehyung might join in on the fun of the weather, the girls leave the room to put on their swimming suits.

Alice shuts the doors in place once they leave. GiGi smiles while sitting on the edge of the couch. "Well, I think that went good,"
