The next couple of days flew by in an instant, and now, it was time for the wedding. However, between the last couple of days, from the time Taehyung and I woke up until we went to sleep, our days were planned by Alice, and by the time we had a second to ourselves, we practically collapsed from exhaustion.
From meeting new people, to hearing discussions about business, and even the latest drama in whatever world Taehyung's caught up in, it was boring. I knew nothing of these people, their careers, or who was cheating on who, and I didn't care in the slightest.
I kept thinking in my head during the meal dates, laying out in the sun by the pool, the quick showers in between events how none of what's going on around us matters at all. Everyone here doesn't care about Taehyung and me; they only care about themselves and wanted to make an impact on Taehyung.
Only a few people even remembered my name by the second time I had met them, the rest called me names that didn't even remotely sound close to my real one.
And if the couple of days that went by weren't enough due to all of that, then it was Taehyung and I constantly turning in the other direction when Eris and Jungkook came across our path.
We were surprised once we saw them the next morning after the party and learned that they had booked a room to stay the whole wedding, but we couldn't say anything, even if we wanted to, so we just walked away every chance we got when we noticed them.
However, we tried not thinking about them much. We found ourselves cheering each other up whenever the other was down from the thoughts of our past love, but thankfully, we were there for one another, and it made the pain bearable.
"You look gorgeous," GiGi stands behind me while clasping her hands over her face in excitement. I can see her reaction in the dresser mirror, and I find my eyes traveling lower until they land on me.
My hair is fixed straight with a gentle bounce at the very ends of my hair. My lips are painted in a soft cherry blossom color, and my nails have been done with acrylics that are colored in white with small diamonds over the lining. My heels are white with delicate white jewels at the tips of them.
The dress I wear is beautiful in every way. I know that if I ever were to be married for real, then I would still choose this dress out of all the others. The top portion is fixed with a heart-shaped breast piece lined with numerous diamonds that shimmer ever so often when the sunlight hits it just right. It's sleeveless with no straps and has small white flower designs flowing down until it reaches the waistline that has a silver and pearl belt wrapped around the waist. The rest of the dress is puffy with light silver sparkles falling on the edge of the dress.
"I can't get over how perfect you look," one of the other girl's giggles in the background of the room, snapping a quick picture of the scene before her.
There's only a handful of girls in the room with me. The others are either still getting ready or are already downstairs seated for the wedding.
I take in GiGi's bridesmaid dress, which is colored in a dark maroon shade, and for a moment, I find myself believing the lie once more. Everything seems too perfect for it not to be real, but I know it's a false dream. Maybe in another world, GiGi would have been my bridesmaid for real, and this room would be full of family and friends. My mother would be crying, my sister would be jokingly jealous, and the love of my life would be downstairs, waiting for me.
