A second never lasted this long before. I contemplated dashing to the door, running down the hall, and screaming for help, but I knew I stood no chance against him.

He has too much power, whereas I have absolutely none.

The cocky smirk on his lips makes me dig my nails into my inner palms. I hate him. Any man willing to do this to a woman is not a man, but I will suck it up and take it, just as every other woman in the world does.

"You know, if you don't want to do it, I could give you another job. However, I feel like you won't like it." He admits while I peer up with interested eyes.

"Another job? I thought you had a specific one for me already—"

"Oh I do, but I figure after letting you think you made a choice, you'll eventually decide on your own that my way is better. I'm just saying, it's a lot easier if you just seduce me." His bemusing stare makes my body act on its own, and before I even realize what I'm doing, I'm standing to my feet and accepting the new offer.

"I think I'll take my chances with the other job than to seduce a rich bastard like you." It's the harsh slap that takes me off guard, but I hold my position and don't break down.

"You ever insult me like that again, and I'll make damn sure I'll do a lot worse than slap you." His dark eyes give no emotion as they look right through me as if not a woman but an object instead.

I want him dead. A monster like this doesn't deserve to live.

"Since you think you can do the other job better, let's head there now. I want to see for myself what you're made of."

With a swift motion, he leaves the room without a word. It feels as if I can finally breathe once he's gone, but I don't have time to relax into my comfort.

I have a job to do, even though I have no idea what it is, I'm willing to give it my best shot if it means I don't have to ever seduce a pig like him.

Cash flows around him in a dismay of greenish colors when the flashing lights turn different hues. Professional dancers line the stage with loud catcalls and whistles coming from the different areas of the crowd.

Twirling his glass full of hard liquor, he smirks at the line of beautiful women in front of him. His money is being made tonight, and it's all thanks to his girls. His to-die-for sexy women.

As he would have it, I'm present too, just not where I would like to be. I should be in the back of the room with the darkness engulfing my being, but no, I'm at the very front. I stand on the large stage, holding onto the silver pole with my heart hammering in my very chest.

He looks my way with a challenging glance and mouths only a few words.

"We don't have all night,"

If I knew this is what he meant by the new job, then I would have gladly chosen otherwise. Standing in a building full of hungry men while being half-naked on stage with other women is not at all what I pictured the job would be.

The men reach out their hands above the high stage and grab at the women's ankles and legs as if addicted to them in an obsessed type of way.

I ignore his teasing glances, and I make my way to the back of the stage to leave. I can't do this, and I won't do this.

"Where the fuck do you think you're going?" Before I can fully step off of the stage, a sudden, yet rough, push comes to my shoulder before I'm being shoved back up the steps I started down. "We don't do runaways, doll. Now get your ass back on the stage."

I make no movements at all. I turn my head back and forth from the stage, him, and these men below me. This is so unfair. I can't do this.

"Hey, hasn't anyone ever told you not to treat Kim's girls like trash? You do realize that he'll have your heads for even talking to her, right?" The two men now have nervous expressions.

"M-Mr. Kim?" One of them stutters while his eyes widen tenfold.

The girl, one of the dancers on the stage, nods with a content smile. "That's right, and by the looks of it, it seems some of his men have already found you badmouthing one of his girls." She looks behind the two men when three men step up behind them.

One of the three men has his hair flipped upwards while smirking widely and showing off his dimples. The man in the middle is shorter but has a stance made out of ice, and to be honest, he looks terrifying. The last man smiles so warmly that it resembles that of the sun.

The one with the sunny smile steps up and wraps his arm around one of the men's shoulders. "You know, I believe I warned you last time about talking to our boss's girls. It seems like you didn't listen the last time we had our little conversation. Say, why don't we take it outside in the back where no one can see or hear anything, hmm? I'll refresh your memory."

Although the guy who speaks has a warm personality, his threatening tone seems nothing close to it. He smiles warmly at me and his eyes shut on their own from the bright grin.

"Girls, go back to doing what you do best. We'll handle the rest." And just as quickly as the three men made their appearance, they quickly left while taking the two men with them.

I shut my eyes for a moment and feel like I can finally breathe. As I begin stepping down the black, metal steps, the girl to my side grabs my wrist and stops me.

"What are you doing?" She asks with a serious expression.

"I can't do this."

"Do you think you have a choice?" She remarks a little rudely, but when she senses her attitude, she rephrases her words. "I just mean, you're one of his girls. You listen to him, and I wouldn't go against it. At least, if you don't want anything bad to happen, then I would get back on the stage and do what I was told. He never comes here, so he's obviously here to watch you. Trust me, he won't be upset as long as you listen to him."

I try to remain frozen to my spot, but she's too strong and pulls me back out on stage with the other girls still dancing around their metal poles.

"How do you know he won't kill me?" I ask when she stops walking at her pole.

"I don't, but I know when he took me in, I worked here and did exactly what I was told. He didn't kill me even if I did a shitty job at my first time on stage; he just wanted to make sure I would listen, and I did. So I suggest you wave off your nerves and impress him, or else I won't be able to save you the next time."
