I'm exhausted beyond belief. After I agreed to Taehyung's terms yesterday, I walked upstairs to my room where I shared a fake conversation that Taehyung and I never had. I lied to her about him, about how I came here, about how I was nervous so I was making things up. I lied for the sake of my freedom, but that doesn't mean I will abandon these women.
Throughout the rest of the day, GiGi talked about little things that didn't concern Taehyung, my arrival, or the engagement ring on my finger.
We talked like normal people, sharing bits and pieces of our lives with each other.
I found out that she's just a couple of months younger than me, so she got excited that we were the same age. I also found out parts of her life.
From what she told me, GiGi was a runaway. She left her Georgia home and ran from her verbally, and sometimes physically, abusive grandparents. She was raised by them, but they hardly gave her the time of day.
How she turned out so warm and bubbly from such a hard childhood, I'll never know. However, I'm thankful that she got away and is now safe. I guess that is one plus for this place.
I explained to her about my ex cheating, but I didn't explain that I just found out a few days ago. I even went as far as to explain that I got drunk at a nightclub and said that's where I met Taehyung, even though that's not the truth. That is how I came to meet him through this situation, but it's not the exact truth.
By the time we got through sharing secrets and little pieces of our childhood—her's including a boy she had a crush on down the street of her old home, and mine being how my ex came into my life when I was debating if I should go to college—it was late.
We fell asleep in the same bed, snoozing lightly with soft smiles of our own. It's been a long time since I've been able to talk this way with anyone, and for some reason, I believe she's the same.

When morning came, I wasn't prepared for the bedroom door to be nearly kicked down. We each raise up with a tad of horror from the loud noise, but we only find Alice on the other side.
Although her lips are sour, she has her blonde hair down today. She still wears her red lipstick but doesn't wear her glasses. She must have contacts in.
"You need to hurry and be dressed for when the girls arrive. They'll be here in approximately," she pauses to check the watch on her wrist. "Twenty minutes,"
From hearing that, both GiGi and I hurry off of the bed to get dressed.
"GiGi, I'm leaving it to you to dress her. Pick out decent clothes," then Alice leaves while we quickly hurry around the room in hopes of finding a suitable outfit.

"Welcome home, girls!" Alice speaks happily while opening the front doors to let the women back inside.
I stand on the staircase with GiGi by my side. She must sense my nervousness because soon she's patting my hand that's squeezing too tightly onto the railing of the stairs.
"Everything will be perfect today, so don't worry about it." She has the same smile she always does, and it helps ease my nerves.
I watch Alice guide the large group of girls into the living room, as GiGi calls it, down the first-floor hallway. When I can no longer see any of them, I let out a breath of relief.
I'm so thankful that none of them looked in my direction or even batted an eye at me.
Taehyung's abrupt intrusion causes me to flench when his hand lands on my shoulder. When I jump, he just chuckles.
"GiGi, why don't you go ahead while I explain to Ada how everything will go, okay?" Taehyung asks with a sweet tone, while GiGi nods and leaves to head to the living room.
When it's just us, he drops the sweetness, which is highly expected of him. He takes a moment to inspect my outfit.
"You're wearing a deep, green cocktail dress?" He questions while glancing at the gold waistband and the design of the top which shows my bare shoulders. He nods acceptingly. "It's not a bad fit. To be honest, I was expecting something red, blue, white, but I never expected this. I think it looks good." It's the first and probably will be the last compliment I'll receive from him.
"We'll go in, explain we're getting married, tell them you're going to become the lady of the house, and answer any questions they might have." When he starts to take my hand from off of the railing, my hand doesn't budge as if it has a mind of its very own.
"It'll be over before you even realize," I can tell for whatever reason that he's trying to lighten my spirits, but it's just not working.
He sighs to himself then walks down the stairs. He stops walking and looks up at me from my frozen spot on the staircase. "I'll take care of everything, so you just go back upstairs. You can introduce yourself to them once you've settled down."
Then he walks forward down the hall without waiting for me. I can hear his voice from here.
"My beautiful girls! I'm so happy you're back at home—" then his voice is cut off by the sound of the door shutting.
I feel so awkward standing here alone where I know I'm supposed to be. However, how will they react to me? Will they try to bully me, kick me out, or even kill me for being Taehyung's fiancée?
It's too worrisome to not think about it. I wish I could go inside the room with high spirits and no ounce of negative thoughts at all, but I know that's not how it's going to happen.
Right as I'm turning around to go back upstairs, I suddenly hear the sound of heels clicking against the marble of the ground floor.
When I turn around to look at the bottom of the stairs, I see GiGi a little out of breath while looking at me with her signature grin.
"Come on, silly! Everyone is waiting to meet you!" She holds her hand out to me, and although I don't know how she did it, her comforting words make my legs start downstairs once more.
I take her hand and hold it tightly while she just smiles and pats my back gently for a second. "You'll be just fine, Ada. Now, let's show them who their lady is, alright? I promise you it's not as scary as it seems."
And just like that, GiGi guides me down the hallway and towards the closed doors of the living room where everyone is waiting quietly for my arrival. It's nerve-wracking, and I thank GiGi for giving me a couple of seconds to gather my braveness before reaching out to grab the handle of the door.
When I open the door, see the brightness of the room and the large group of people inside, I push down my weakness and step inside.
I can't be nervous and look after them. If I'm going to do this job, then I'll have to do it correctly.
"I'm going to be your lady," GiGi shuts the door behind us, and I hold my head up high with proudness. "But please, just call me Ada,"
And as if the seconds couldn't go on any longer, time starts again, and the girls squeal with joy. My insecurities have vanished, and I feel like this might not be so bad.
