Chapter 29: Would rather run away

SUMMARY;

After Nick left North Carolina, Alex and Karl were helpless to get themselves motivated without Nick. After hours Kalem received a call from a random number, suprisingly it was the airport's crew who's calling. And that was a another chapter of their life wil start.

"Bye! Love you guys!" Nick waved his hands and grabbed his suit cases then went outside, Karl and Alex shed a tear then went back to the house.

They all sat on the couch as they watched random tv shows, Alex got bored so he changed the tv channel to Netflix

"Hey Alex it's my turn to pick!" Alex grumbled, "Ugh fine here" Alex handed the remote to George as they he picked Squid Game, then played it.

Hours passed and they were halfway through the movie, 1:28:16

It was exciting to watch, not to mention it was gorey but who cares? It's cool though. Kalem's phone rang, she looked at the number, she squinted her eyes as she stood up standing beside the window and answered it, "Hello who is this?"

"Yeah i am Kalem... huh?...oh- wait what..?.....how?...oh okay....when?..." Kalem bit her nails as i noticed her tensing up and her eyes were getting glossy,

"...thank you for telling me sir....alright bye.." Kalem ended the call as she looked at me and Alex, then to George and Dream.

She ran and hugged me tightly, her sobbing. "What happened? Is everything alright?" I asked

The four of us trying to calm down Kalem, not knowing what's the reason, i looked at Alex and he seem to know the hint I'm saying.

"Hey Kal, you can talk about anything.. were here.." Alex hugged her for a bit, George sitting beside her. "I- the crew of the airport c-called me be-cause" Kalem started crying again. "Why?" Dream asked, in a calming tone.

"N-nick.." Kalem started to cry louder, Alex held my hands as we looked at eachother, "what happened then?"

"H-he got in a p-lane crash.." Kalem explained between sobs, I covered my mouth and my tears started to drop.

"I.. what? No- no that's not true- he- he will never be in a plane crash? Right?" Alex backed away for a bit, him also crying too, Kalem shook her head.

"He will never be.. but he did..h- he's gone.."

"He'll survive don't worry"

"MY COUSIN IS ALREADY DEAD DREAM WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK!"

"I- Kalem I'm sorry i didn't mean-"

"I'm sorry I'm going to my room" Kalem stormed out slamming the door, me still crying on my knees, not caring if my friends calm me down.

But the point is, He's dead.

What'll we'll do to save him? Right?
