Reader pov.

"Should I take care of you too?" He said and you looked at him. You took a deep breath and stretched your arms out.

"I'm good. I said I was jealous but not in need of your care." You saw him slightly looking at you disappointed and you let out a little chuckle.

"I know deeply in my heart how you also want to get taken care of. You can just say it. I won't tell anyone." He said whispering in a joking way.

"Alright alright. You know , there is something I would like to ask you." you said and he continued watching the scenery.

"Sure , go on."

"Are you afraid of magic creatures like fairies, witches or vampires?" You asked and he looked at you.

"Hmm, if I told you I do..what are you going to say?" He asked back.

"Hey, I asked first. You need
to answer my question first."

"I think they are quite fascinating but I wouldn't like to pass one." He answered and you nodded.

"Right? Humans shouldn't run into them. They bring quite some trouble." You said and as you two sat on the field you felt an unwell feeling forming in your throat.

"Have you ever seen a vampires?" He asked and you stared at him blankly.

"Yes, but I would like to head back now. It's getting a little cold and I don't want us to catch a fever or some kind of cold." You said slowly getting up. Jake threw a jacket over your shoulders and you looked at him with a confused look.

"You're right. Let's head back. If the others find out that you catched a cold because of me they are going to bash me." He said and you nodded.

-

"We're back." Jake shouted coming into the house but it was dead silent. No response and all the lights were off too.

"No one's here. They sure take their time." You said and sat down on the couch in the living room.

"I will make some tea. Do you want some too?" He asked heading to the kitchen.

"Thanks but no. Don't feel like tea right now." You said declining his offer.

You looked around in the living room to find some books and you started to look through them. The books seem to be interesting but you put them back since you didn't know who they belonged to.

"Looking around? The books have been standing there since we moved in so we don't know who they belong to." Jake said as he sat down on the couch.

"Why don't you get rid of it then? Isn't it a waste of space.?" You said , picking up the books.

"I don't think that it is necessary. We rarely spent the time here anyways. You were lucky to get the chance to see this house." Nodding at his words you looked through the books. There were many things marked but the only thing that caught your attention were the pages with a bookmark in it.
