Chapter 1

Kasetsart University Bangkok 2022:

A tall and handsome guy enters the college music room and see five guys are already in the room. Four of them were  discussing something animatedly and fighting with each other while the fourth one was sitting in the corner and staring at them. Suddenly a shoe come flying in the direction of the guy standing at the door. He dodges the shoe and glares at the guy who threw it.

"ATID..."

The guy named Atid  runs and hides behind his friend.

Now let me introduce you to the guys in  this story.

The guy who just entered the music room is me Panit. The four idiots who have been causing all these commotions are my friends and bandmates Atid,Kiet,Niran and Chai, our drummer, keyboardist,violinist and guitarist. The fourth person in the room is none other than our lead singer and guitarist Aroon. We are part of an upcoming music band Melodic.

Panit: What the hell Atid. How many times have I told you not to throw things in the music room?

Atid: I am sorry Panit. I just got excited and threw it by mistake.

Panit just huffs and moves towards the stage to check out the instruments.

Panit: Are you guys ready for tonight's performance?

Atid/Chai/Kiet/Niran: Yes

Panit looks at Aroon and he just nods his head in yes.

Panit: Alright then. Let's play the new song one last time and then wind up the practice session.

Everyone agrees and takes their spot on the stage. Soon the music starts and Aroon's melodious voice floats in the music room. The song is about unrequited love and hearing it in Aroon's voice caused a havoc in the listeners heart. As the song comes to an end, they are welcome by a round of applause. Aroon is surprised to see the music room was filled with students cheering them.

"Aroon.....Aroon.. we love you."

" You guys are awesome"

"Go Melodic "

Panit: Thank you everyone for your great support. Please do attend our concert at 7pm today at Voice space.

As the crowd begins to disperse, Panit notice a few girls trying to talk to Aroon but being timid and introvert by nature, he was finding it difficult to answer them. As he was about to move to help Aroon, Atid quickly moves towards Aroon and takes him away from the crowd saying that they need to go somewhere urgently. Panit sighs in relief and asks rest of the guys to pack their instruments and move to their van.

Meanwhile in some other part of the college:

Atid does not know why he felt the need to save Aroon from those girls. They are not even friends, thanks to Aroon's introvert nature. He hardly talks to anyone except his childhood friend Niran.

"Thank you"

Atid looks at the guy who just thanked him. He was just standing there not looking at his face.

Atid: It's okay.

Aroon then points towards his hand and that was when he noticed that he was still holding his hand. Atid let go off his hand with so much force that Aroon starts fall backwards. Atid quickly catches his waist to break his fall. As their body collide with each other, their eyes meet.

Atid got lost in those beautiful brown eyes for a second. Aaron's ears are tinted red due to shyness. Ringing of his phone brings them back to reality. He let go of Aroon and stand there looking at each other awkwardly

Atid (mind): What was I thinking? Why would i find Aroon so cute? I need to stop this before it gets out of control. He decides to go from there before things get weird

Atid: Let's go. The others must be waiting for us at the entrance.

Aroon nods his head and follows him to the entrance. They find the others waiting for them near the van.

Kiet: Where did you go?

Aroon: We...We...

Atid: We just took the long route to avoid the girls from following us.

Kiet looks at Aroon and he nods his head in yes.

Panit: Okay. Let's get moving now, else we are going to be late for the concert.

They quickly get into the van and drives away. They reach the venue in 20 minutes. As soon as they reach the venue they rush to wear the costume and make up as there is only 30 minutes left for the concert to start.

Backstage:

As they standd backstage waiting for their cue to enter, Atid notice Aroon rubbing his hands and jumping from one foot to other nervously. He slowly moves beside him and takes his hand in his hand. He was shivering and his hand were cold like ice. Atid starts rubbing their hands together and Aroon's nerves calm down slowly. He then gives him a warm smile and moves back to his position after wishing him luck.

Aroon's POV:

I have always stayed away from limelight as I am bad at interacting with people. So when my bestfriend Kiet asked me to join the music band with him, I was reluctant. Finally I had to agree to his request. Eventhough it's been almost an year since I started performing in this band, I still cannot handle crowd. When I had the first panic attack, the most unexpected person calmed me down. He was my teammate Atid.

We hardly talk to each other but he always reached out to me whenever I felt lost or restless. His single touch soothes me down completely. Even today when  I was panicking due to the huge crowd, he appeared before me dispersing all my tension. What is this connection between us that touches my soul?

Atid's POV:

Aroon, our lead singer and guitarist has always been a mystery to me. He was really calm and quite when I first met him. He hardly spoke except when he is singing. When he sings, he turns from this calm quite person to a fireball. His voice makes you laugh, makes you cry. I unknowingly developed a protective instinct towards him. I don't know what he means to me but I want to protect him from this harsh world called reality.

They accidentally look at each other at the same time and their eyes gets locked. As they keep staring at each other,  the eye contact is broken by the anchor's announcement welcoming them on to the stage. They wished each other luck and enters the stage along with their bandmates.
