*insert awkward and nervous laugh here* I know I promised you guys an update but things have been hectic since my grandma was rushed to the hospital (and god knows how shitty the hospital service can be here at the Philippines) and just got released.

However, she still needs to be tended to, hence me and my mom being her nurses/caregivers. I have barely updated because of that and I haven't touched my laptop so I'm updating from my phone.

Anyhoo, update is here ^^

The incessant beeping that signified the end of a call rang through America's ears, seeming louder by the suffocating silence that the meeting room has.

"So, what now?"

Everybody was flinched out of their silence when the question was asked.

"What else but let them be?"

Everybody froze before slowly facing Belgium. The normally bubbly nation had a disappointed look on her face. Her eyes narrowed at the former colonizers, especially at her brother and Spain.

"Don't put on that shocked face, guys. You should've expected this," Hungary inputted with a nonchalant shrug, but disgust at them was evident on her face.

England gave a growl, his pirate side emerging. "As if you're any better, barbarian," he spat bitterly. "What did you say?!" Hungary growled, her experience in centuries-gone wars showing as she instinctively reached for the sword no longer on her side and was stored away when guns were widely used.

"You heard me. Your country has always waged wars amongst yourselves and surrounding nations back then. Bloody hell, you even thought you were a boy when you were young because of all the fighting," England accused, pointing angrily at the brunette woman.

"How did you—? Never mind that. At least, I didn't destroy a whole culture and a race of people for my greed for gold, you pirate bastard," she shot back.

"Woah, what? England would never do that," America interrupted, slowly being drawn out of his shell of mild depression.

Everybody, save for England and Hungary due to them still glaring at each other, flinched when they remembered that Native America was his mother. Although, he barely remembers her. Same goes for Canada, except he could remember bits and pieces of her but couldn't remember why she disappeared.

"— mistaking me for Spain! He burned their temples down! He made sure that their royalty was dead! He's guilty as much as I am!" England's voice rose louder and the other nations could no longer ignore it.

"Hey!" Spain protested. "And I didn't colonize Asian nations, just so you know," England hissed through gritted teeth, ignoring the Spaniard's protest. "Commendable, but you wanted to colonise Spain's precious Pearl, and succeeded, albeit in a few years only, all because of the power play in Europe at that time." Hungary's voice dripped with sarcasm as she said this, mouth formed in a sneer.

They glared even harder at each other, a dark aura forming around them, and fists were clenching.

It was pretty clear that they were about to argue using their hands and, quite possibly, their feet.

Before things could escalate to that, a loud noise interrupted it. England and Hungary turned their you're-dead-fucker glare towards Germany, while the rest sent him a relieved glance.

They did not want another war at this time.

Germany had a murderous, although, if one looks hard enough, they might see fatigue, look in his face.

"Enough."

A simple command yet had seemed like a thunderous order.

Germany looked them in eye, one by one, with an attempt to calm down their jittering nerves.

"Everything's going to be alright."

With those words, Germany gathered up his things and left the conference room.
