When somebody would claim seeing the highest recorded gathering of Nations united planning to take action against an united (and closed off) continent, the person they were with at that time would direct him/her to the nearest mental hospital.
However, these days, anything is possible and so found themselves doing just that.
The irony.
A sandy blonde haired man with glasses and a cowlick was chewing on the end of his pen anxiously as he looked over the reports and data in front of him. Things weren't looking so well after the stunt Asia pulled off a few months ago, bargains over exotic items just became dangerous and fruit products have almost gone to nil.
America was snapped out of his thoughts when the clock ticked to 8 AM and Nations flooded into the room and sat down. He noted that most of the sat in groups. The Nordics on the far end, Baltics putting a fair amount of distance from Russia, the three previous Soviet countries (and siblings), Ukraine, Russia and Belarus, surprisingly sitting together with the little sister not clinging on to her brother and asking him to marry her, Mexico (looking sullen over his pseudo-sister through Spain no longer being able to talk to) sat with the South Americans seated beside Spain and Portugal, the Africans sat opposite them, and the mainland Europeans (with the blatant yet ignored absence of the Italy brothers, Belgium, Hungary, Switzerland and Liechtenstein) sat on either side of him with stoic faces.
After a few minutes, the chattering had lulled to nervous silence they were so unused to.
America uneasily cleared his throat and stood up, automatically gaining the attention of those in attendance.
"So, as you can see, certain products have, er, been in more demand than usual. These products, they realized, were all imports from Asia and sent my country to a panic. Um, they would like to know if the other countries are experiencing the same thing?"
What was supposed to be a firm statement turned out to be a shaky one.
The other Nations fidgeted uneasily. The First-World ones the noticeable out of all, refusing to acknowledge they needed foreign sources to thrive, and the Second and Third-World ones slightly guilty.
Germany cleared his throat, signalling he wanted their attention, while shuffling the papers he was holding. "It seems not only America has been having this problems. Despite the sources we calculated that can support us, we, the EU, had our own discussion, and have deemed that Asia isolating itself is a danger to us," he intoned, frowning severely at the papers as if it was their fault they were in that situation. Well, one friend was uncharacteristically angry at him while the other was an Asian country; that might be also why.

Philippines let out a loud breath, but beaming a bright smile. She thought she couldn't get past a few weeks without at least attempting to communicate with the outside countries, seeing as how she's a social one, but here she is. She can see why Japan did it.
Isolation was an amazing time to discover, well, rediscover yourself and your history that was buried underneath all that influences of colonization. And she got to know and connect better with her SEA siblings and fellow Asian countries.
Thanks to that connection, imports and exports from Asia were flourishing and being refined by what few First-World countries they have in the continent.
Philippines' attention was grabbed by her sisters and India, saying they would miss the Ramayana production if they don't hurry up.
The production would never have played in their country, seeing as how American productions would push them out, but they were given a chance now to know the stories of another countries. Their myths were similar after all.
Their recovery was slow but it was more than what they had previously. She refuses to be called the 'Orphan of Asia' anymore.
