(Alex)
Violet runs in my room and starts screaming. She said that we needed to leave and to get my stuff. I grab my pillow and hop into my work room where I take everything as a burning bottle crashes near me and sets the wall ablaze. Something in the pit of my stomach drops. When it gets to my fireworks…
Violet is leading screaming children out and the adults are yelling and getting ready to fight. I see Josh and his group panicking while helping everyone and I run to the exit.
People start shooting and I feel a pang in my middle, I turn my head to see a man pulling out a knife from my back. Emince pain flooded my body and I started screaming. I felt warm liquid bursting out of the hole and I fell over in pain, panic and drowsiness. I can feel almost if the blade is still there. My clothes start to become wet. The last thing I see is Mary Ann falling in front of me and crying and the man with an arrow sticking out of his head.(Violet)
I stop and turn around to notice that Alex isn't there. I run quickly through the halls readying my bow as I see adults fighting near the entrances. I stop as I notice a man, as he pulls a knife out of Alex's back. Her blood curdling scream made me hesitate, as I process she's bleeding, I quickly aim my bow and shoot him in the head. Mary Ann drops next to Alex in tears trying to process. "We need to leave now!" I say to her as I grab my army bag of supplies and Alex's bag also. She gently but quickly picks up Alex and rushes outside. Only 15 arrows left now, I use another to shoot a man in our way. Now I have 14…
Once we have gotten farther away, Mary Ann stops and gently sets down Alex.
I stop next to her as I reach into my bag and grab supplies to help her with the wound. She gets the bleeding to eventually stop. I hand her the peroxide to clean it, foam spreads as it cleans. "Shallow wound but it will take a while to heal." Mary says, her voice breaking slightly in panic.
I hand her a needle and string to stitch the wound. Once the wound is stitched, she cleans it again. I barely hold myself together. After she finishes she places gauze pads on the hole and wraps medical tape around her to keep it on. I put whatever is left over back into my bag. Mary Ann sits and gently holds Alex, trying to comfort her, even though she is fast asleep. I raise my bow, aiming it as I hear someone approach. It's Josh. "What the fuck do you want?!" I yell. He stays quiet, as he glances at Alex.
"Is she going to be okay?" He says with a worried look across his face. I knew we shouldn't have trusted them.
"Yes.. But it will take a while for her to heal." Mary claims in her soft weak voice. I kept my bow aimed at him.
"We took you in, helped you, THIS happened because of YOU!" I say pissed off. Mostly in pain.
"I didn't mean for this to happen!" He claims.
"Vi, let it be." Mary pleads. After a minute I lower my bow.
"The second she gets hurt again, my arrow will be in your head." I threaten him.
"We need to find a place to stay. It's going to be dark soon." Josh says to Mary.
"We will stay here until she wakes up, we keep watch for any infected or people in the meantime." She says softly as she rubs Alex's head in a mother like manner."I'll keep watch tonight, I don't trust Josh." I say. He sits by Mary Ann and watches over Alex as well. I look off into the distance, keeping watch, my bow ready.
