(Violet)
It's been days since I've last got some good sleep. My side needs to be cleaned. Espen needs food. I have to stay on guard because who knows what's lurking around. I'm starting to recognize the area. I've been carrying Espen for a while, he's been exhausted. We didn't take too many breaks because the faster we get back the faster I can get everyone to safety. I wonder how everyone else is doing.
After a few more hours of walking the small town comes into sight, then the gas station. My pace begins to quicken. The maggot stands on the roof, noticing me approach. For once I'm glad to see him, I still hate him though. He runs to the back and climbs down the ladder and runs inside. Shortly after Mary Ann, and Alex run out. Alex hugs me, Mary Ann quickly noticing my side. They help me inside, and to the cot in the manager's office. I set Espen beside me on my good side. He tries to stay awake the best he can but he quickly falls asleep.
Before I settle down on my back Alex takes my bow and arrows and rests them underneath the cot. Mary Ann quickly raises my shirt to see the wound. I glance over to notice her eyebrows furrow quickly.
Blake stands at the doorway, wanting to help but it looks like he doesn't know if there is any way he can. Josh stands behind him, with the same look as well.
Alex retrieves the small medical kit from behind the counter. Mary Ann opens it and quickly cleans my wound. It begins to bleed even more as she works on it. I wince to the pain as she stitches the open knife wound. She cleans it again and bandages it with gauze pads and medical tape. The bleeding eventually slows to a stop. Alex watches concerned and worried, Mary Ann kisses my forehead before hesitantly walking out. She tries to convince Alex to follow to let me rest. Alex hesitates before following. Shutting the door after they exit the room so I could get some sleep. Soon exhaustion takes over and darkness blankets my vision.
