16. Warm Christmases

Her room was much colder than it has ever been. Y/N opened her eyes —looking for a clock. It's 5:42. She quickly ran down the stairs —still in her night wear.

Y/N saw someone reading a letter, she immediately recognized who the person was, "Happy Christmas, Rem!" she sighed happily.

Remus turned around, a smile spreading across his face as the girl ran over to him, "Happy Christmas, my darling," he pulled her by the waist before prepping her face with kisses.

"Let's open the presents!" she picked up a package from Lily, she tore open the box and saw a beautiful metallic purple perfume inside.

She got sugar quills and a box of strawberry covered chocolate from Theo; a cream coloured cardigan with black outline and embroidered silver stars from aunt Queenie; a shiny ring from her mother (she wore it immediately); Newt got her supplies for Caravel and a golden bracelet; Marlene gave her an enchanted pouch; a book of folklores from Sirius; James and Peter bought her sweets and chocolates; and lastly from Remus,

A warm hand knitted jumper in her favourite colour. She picked it up to see a shiny necklace with small charms in between the fold of the crochet, "I'm sorry if you don't like it-"

"Remus, this is incredible. Thank you!"

"No problem," he smiled, feeling relieved "Do you want me to help you put it on?" Y/N nodded and handed him the necklace.

"It looks perfect on you," he complimented, "Have I ever told you how pretty you are?"

Y/N felt her cheeks burning, "You're pretty too," she grinned.

He blushed like a mad man but luckily, it was dark, "I thought it would be more personal to give you something that I made myself," he eyed the jumper.

"You knitted this yourself? I love you, you know that," she got up to kiss him, his cheeks got even more red, "Open mine!"

He ripped open the package and saw a hard cover copy of 'Dracula' by Bram Stoker and a silver watch. "I've heard that Dracula is a good book so I decided to bought it for you; and, I know you're always on time —well not always— but I thought the watch would look good on you"

"Thank you so much, m'love," he the boy expressed. He hold her waist tightly, pressing his lips against hers as he kissed her passionately. Her left hand was tangled in his hair while the other was against his chest.

They both stayed there for a while until Sirius came down to drag Remus and Y/N to the boy's dormitory.

"Happy Christmas, lovers," Sirius cheered as he walked down.

"Happy Christmas, have the others woken up yet?" she said.

"No, we'll have to bark and howl at them so they will wake," he opened the door to their dorm. It reveals the same room as the girl's dormitory, but since Sirius and James is here, their side are a total mess.

"What d'you mean bark and howl?" Remus questioned.

"Just wait Moony," Sirius said. He gave Y/N a knowing look. They transformed into something that surely are not human.

Y/N transformed into a an arctic fox while Sirius turned into a black dog. He accidentally stepped on Y/N's tail; making her let out a noisd loudly. Remus stood there in shock, not knowing what to do.

Sirius barked nonstop in James' direction and the sound woke him up almost immediately.

"What is going on here?" Remus asked, his eyes wide.

"Remember when I didn't speak for a whole month?" Remus nodded slowly but unsurely, "it was for the animagus transformation, I've decided to help you during full moons," Y/N answered with a proud face.

"What? You seriously don't have to do this for me-" Remus felt his heart fluttering. Words can't describe how grateful he is to have her in his life.

"It's for the better, I can't- we can't stand leaving you alone during full moons," Y/N said as she intertwined their fingers.

"Thank you, Y/N," he felt his eyes watering as Y/N, James, Sirius and Peter engulfed him in a bear hug.

"Anything for our Moony!" said Sirius, patting his back. "Thanks for the prank stuffs you got us Y/N. Now me and Prongs are off to prank some professors. Happy Christmas!" by that, the two left the room leaving the three.

"Thanks you two for the gifts, see you later!" Peter waved at them.

Remus turned to Y/N and enveloped her in another hug, "Thank you, love. You know, you really don't have to," he began to tear up.

"No worries! It's Christmas Remus, let's cheer up!" she wiped his tear gently with her sleeves "Let's play in the snow"
