19. Last Drop of Rain

"Moony, you can't possibly blame yourself for this," Sirius shook his head looking annoyed.

"It wasn't your fault, Moony. Cheer up! You wouldn't want to make Y/N worry, would you?" James tried to make him feel better but it just felt worse since he realized that not only Sirius he scratched, but also her.

"I still think you shouldn't have done that," Remus said, a pain of guilt still living inside him. "I don't want to hurt anyone anymore. Better if you'd stay far"

"We did this for you! We already know the consequences," Sirius rolled his eyes.

Y/N pushed open the door with Lily beside her. She smiled looking at Remus' wounds that are not as bad as how it used to a month ago. But her smile quickly dropped.

"Y/N, Remus here thinks that we shouldn't go with him during full moons anymore. He thinks that it is a bad idea and we should stay away," Sirius stated as he huffed.

Remus wiped his face roughly; wincing in pain as his wounds contacted with his bare skin. "I could kill you two yesterday," he wiped his face fiercely over and over again.

Y/N ran to him and grabbed his wrists before he can cause more damage to his cuts. "Don't do that, love. You're only making it worse."

"I think we should leave them alone," Lily said. James nodded and rushed over to her, putting his arms around her shoulder.

"I hope she could finally knock some sense into him," Sirius frowned and walked out the door with Peter behind him.

Y/N sat down on his bed slowly. Remus eyes were firmly on the floor. "I'm so sorry. A sorry isn't even enough,"

"There's nothing to be sorry for" she assured as she enveloped him in a hug. Remus face is buried in her shoulder as she spoke. "Besides, it was partly our fault too. We sort of jumped into you. We did this because we wanted to help, not for you to feel guilty," Y/N whispered soothingly while rubbing his back, leaving butterflies flying crazily all over his stomach.

He looked up to see her face, smiling slightly. Her skin was visibly torn apart, leaving a maroon color in the middle. "You should ask Madam Pomfrey for that, m'love," he cupped her cheek, examining her scar.

Every time he does that, there's always an odd feeling in her stomach; and she loves it.

Y/N would've refuse to do so since it was not terrible but just for the sake of this, she nodded. "I will."

Remus definitely had a tired look on his face, she wanted to escort him for breakfast but she knows all too well that he needs rest.

"Do you want me to get breakfast for you?" she asked kindly.

He took both of her hands and shook his head not wanting to interrupt her day even more. "You go, love. I'll stay here."

Y/N nodded and raised to her feet, she kissed his forehead before heading out.

"Y/N!" he shouted again. The girl turned around to face him. "To make it up to you, will you meet me tomorrow at the Black Lake?" he smiled warmly at her direction.

"Alright," Y/N grinned at him before going out the door.
