27. Watching the Fire Glow

A/N: continuation of the last chapter!

Remus smiled at her expression. She was red in the face, which he thinks very adorable. "I won't be able to continue if you keep running your hands all over me," she grimly stated.

The boy laughed and pulled his hands away from her. "Thanks for being here," he expressed truthfully. "You know, seeing your face calms me after a dreadful transformation."

Y/N felt her heart melted at his words. "Why's that?" she asked softly.

Remus shrugged and pursed his lips. "You bring me comfort. You being here beside me is everything I ever wanted. Thank you, once again," he smiled, looking at her eyes.

"It's my pleasure, m'love" the girl gave him a smile —that smile that gives him butterflies. "Are you cold? Well, of course you are," she chuckled. Y/N then casted a spell to lit up the fireplace.

The whole time, Remus can't keep his eyes off of her. She's just so mesmerizing to look at. He picked up her habits and he might not know this, but he might've mirrored her actions himself. He loves how her smile spread so wondrously that he wants to make her smile all the time.

"Remus, here," she said after awhile. Y/N handed him a warm sweater. "Do you want hot chocolate?" she asked once he was done putting the sweater on.

"Sure, my love,"

Y/N walked over to the counter and make two hot chocolates and brought it back to where they sat.

"I love spending time with you," expressed Y/N as the both of them sipped their mugs.

"Me too. You're the best thing that has ever happened to me. If you'd agree, we can live together," he suggested. "or just- visit each other everyday if that's okay with you," he added swiftly since it was a big decision for the two.

"We'll be out of Hogwarts in a matter of months," Y/N gulped. "I'd love to live with you if that means we'll have cherry blossom trees in the back."

"Cherry blossom trees?" he asked, narrowing his eyes a bit. "You think they grow in London?"

"Well, if not then we'll find a place where cherry blossom trees could be planted," Y/N stated thoughtfully.

"You're getting so worked up about planting trees," He shifted closer to her and wrapped both of his arms around her figure.

"Cherry blossoms look beautiful in gardens," she tried to make a stern face but failed as for a smile spread her face when Remus shook his head mockingly.

Remus pulled her face to his chest, inhaling the scent of her hair. "I promise one day I'll plant a field of cherry blossom trees if that makes you happy."

All those love songs Remus heard from his mother's radio now make sense. He, now know how it felt when a person says 'my heart is yours'
