Survival in Gaea's Army

Chapter 3: Combat

This battle we decided to change it up. Instead of using just weapons we are only going to use our powers.

On my side of the arena there was 3 barrels of water and on Jack side was just the dirt he didn't required anything.

We did our usual countdown that we said at the same time. "3...2..1.GO!"

I summoned the water to shoot me up in the air and more importantly off the ground. I was in a twister of water. Unfortunately while in the air I noticed it was getting dark it's probably around 6:30 and the plan is set for 7:00. I better wrap this up.

Just then Jack shot a big bolder out of the ground up through my water spout and I flew over to him. I summoned the water around me to cushion my fall but it still hurt.

That's when I saw Jack out of the corner of my eye roll a rock like a bowling ball straight towards me. I quickly spotted puddle of water a couple of feet away from me.

I made a quick slicing motion with my hand and the water cut straight through the rock. I starred at it in shock as if fell into 2 pieces.

"How did you do that?!" Jack exclaimed. I smiled I still seem to amaze him.

I gasped, "Jack get over here! Look at that!" I pointed in a random space. He ran over completely forgetting that we are still battling. That's just what I was aiming for.

As he ran over I made a water wall up to his ankles and blew air out of my mouth and instantly the water froze. He ran straight into it tripping over it and did a face plant on the dirt. Amazingly he went through the ground, and he was gone. "What?! Since when could he do that."

"I just found out." He said behind me. I smiled and took all the water out of the barrels and off the ground and wrapped it around him. I blew again and the water froze along with Jack. The only thing that wasn't frozen was his head.

He scowled at me. "Okay fine you win unfreeze me."

I laughed and opened my mouth and breathed like I was trying to melt my ice cream and the water melted.

I heard clapping behind me. I turned to see Percy clapping slowly in the shadows.

"Clapping in the shadows Percy? Wow that's not creepy at all." I stated.

"Your late. Remember we have..." he looked at Jack. "plans."

"Sorry! I was a little busy. We better go."

"Ditching me again?" I looked back at Jack.

"I'm sorry but this is the last time it will all be over tonight." He smiled at us when I said that.

"Fine. See you tomorrow?"

"Always!"

What I said to Jack was no lie this was all ending tonight.
