After that horrific day I spent most of my next two day in my cabin morning the loss of my best friend and boyfriend.

Percy would always try and cheer me up but it would never work.

Today (three days after his death) I woke up. That morning and I decided there would need to be a change. Jack was dead an he wasn't coming back. I just needed to face facts. I was up before all the other campers.

I decided to wake up Percy(who was not so happy about that) and he and I went for a swim.

He asked me over and over again if I was ok and I would say yes back to him. I asked him to share his stories of when he was a young demigod and still trying to figure things out.

One story caught me attention. The Battle of Manhattan. So many of his friends died so many brave demigods...gone. When he told me that Orpheus set off a sleeping spell putting all the mortals under it I asked,"Do you think I was put under it?"

"Maybe." He looked thoughtful. It looked weird on him. "Probably because you didn't know who you were then."

"I guess that makes since..." I tried to think about that day. That's when I remembered. "I remember now! I woke up on the sidewalk totally confused and I didn't know what was happening." He laughed.

"Yeah I guess I would've been confused too. I remember we would steal the mortals phones and call if we needed help." He smiled as he walked down memory lain.

That's when I became furious. "I remember something else too. I was walking home from getting my new phone. It took me 3 years to collect that money. 3 years! And it was gone! I wonder how that happened."

This made him crack up laughing making huge bubbles float to the top of the lake. "You should be thanking us. When you use any electronics it sends off a signal for all the closest monsters to come toward you."

I paled. "Okay never mind. Thanks then."

"No problem."

We stayed down there for a while before surfacing. When we finally did Chiron was there waiting for us. He looked at me. "You have a visitor."

Percy, me, and a stranger with his back turned to us stood in the meeting room at the Big House. I cleared my throat uncomfortably.

He turned and I just about tackled him. "YOU?!" It was the crazy tall man that ran into Jack when we were at the subway.

He looked at me then at Percy with no emotion on his face. "I need Jack."

Tears threatened to spill out from my eyes. I wanted to scream and throw some chairs around but all I did was stand there. Shocked. Percy covered for me. "Jack is no longer here." He said looking at me with sympathy.

Sadness spread across his face but it disappeared just as quickly as it appear.

"Who are you exactly?" I asked through clenched teeth.

"I'm Jack's father."
