Chapter 10: Searching

Jack POV

Finding the building that collapsed was easy finding the two demigods were a little bit harder.

Turns out all had to do was mentally reach into the ground and...feel the vibrations. It's easier said then done.

I felt kinda self conscious with everyone staring at me. I never liked all the attention focused on me.

Anyways enough about me(even though you probably enjoyed it) back to the problem at hand.

There was a lot of damage here. I couldn't see anyone or anything surviving this. "The earthquake was definitely here." I said stating the obvious.

"No dip Sherlock." Travis(I think) said with a smirk towards his brother. I just rolled my eyes and kept searching for something anything that would lead us to the children of Poseidon.

It's been an hour now and the only sign of life that we found was piles upon piles of monster. I can see why they wanted it to collapse.

I looked up and turned in a circle. I decided to reach into the Earth(mentally) and see where the strongest point of the vibrations came from. I closed my eyes and concentrating hard I felt waves coming from the side of me.

My eyes flew open and I ran in the direction. There in the middle of all the debris and rubble there was a gap where there wasn't even the slightest hint of ceiling.

"Over hear!" I called into the open air. In no time everyone was standing in a loose circle around the gap.

That's when a tall blond kid with a bow slung over his back walked into the gap. I think his name was Will. He kept walking till he made it to the outer part of the gap and moved a piece of wood.

He touched something underneath it with his hands and when his hand came up there was blood on it. "This is human blood for sure." He said.

We all shared glances. At that moment our suspicions were confirmed. Percy and Sam were here and try caused this building to collapse, but the real question was why?

Annabeth and I locked eyes and we understood each other immediately. When we see those two they are going to regret ever coming out of that rubble.
