I told him everything. Everything. Percy and I joining Gaea's army and then delaying her plans.
The worst part was talking about Jack's death. I couldn't talk about it without crying.
He was a great listener and he listened to most of it with no expression. "-and here I am." I said ending the story taking a deep breath. I looked at him.
So many emotions spread across his face.
Sadness.
Love.
But mostly pride.
"I'm so proud of you." He pulled me into a tight embrace and I could smell the scent of the desalt over him.
"But why I betrayed the gods and-and-"
"You also made up for your mistakes and that's what heroes do."
"Thanks dad. I know you may haven't been there for me when I was a kid but I'm glad I have you now." I smiled up at him and he smiled right back down at me. That smile soon faded.
"Sam, there's something you should know...." He trailed off.
My smiled faded off too. "What?"
"Hera has a plan..."
"Hera? As in the queen goddess?"
"Yes and it has to do with your brother."
