Chapter 9: Revealing

"It's you? I-I don't know who you are."

She laughed."I didn't think you would." Then she looked at Percy. "The great Percy Jackson it's an honor." She bowed.

"I'd say the same thing to you if I actually knew who you were." Percy laughed.

Realizing that she hasn't told us her name yet she said."My apologies. I'm Abby I used to be a hunter of Artemis."

"Used to be?" I asked skeptically.

"Yes she." She said sadly. "I took an oath to turn my back against men. Unfortunately I broke that oath and lady Artemis cursed me because of it."

Percy and I looked her over she didn't look cursed to me. She looked like a normal teenage girl. She had long blond hair pulled into a side braid Elsa style. She looked about 12 but I was never good at guessing someone's name.

"Uhh you don't look that cursed to me." Percy stated. I agreed with a head nod.

"That's the thing I'm cursed with immortality."

Percy smiled at this. "No offense but how is that a bad thing?"

"I have to live my life watching all my friends and family die while I have to keep repeating 7th grade over an over again."

"That's one of the reasons I didn't want to become immortal I wanted to live my life!" Percy exclaimed.

"Whoa whoa whoa time out." I said making the T symbol with my hands. "You the great Percy Jackson was offered immorality and didn't think about telling your sister?!"

He smiled sheepishly. "I didn't think it was that big of a deal."

"Uhh huh sure but you said that was only one of the reasons what was the other?"

He smiled at this one and said just above a whisper. "Annabeth."

"Awe okay I forgive you because that is literally the sweetest thing I have ever heard." I said smiling like a mad person.

I stopped. "Wait your names Abby?"

She looked confused at first then hesitantly said,"Yeah why?"

Uh oh this couldn't be the same girl could it? "Oh no reason I just have a friend named Abby that's all." I tried to play it off coolly like nothing ever happened then decided to change the subject. "So I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess your were the one who saved us from being crushed by rubble?"

"Yeah I was hunting this huge hellhound down when I felt shaking and saw green blast and it led me to that building or what's left of it anyway. I immediately started looking for survivors and I found you two unconscious in the only area that there was no building. Weird huh?"

"Yeah a little. We are just glad that you came when you did." Percy said giving her his thanks.

"Me too." An always silence followed. And I still needed to see if...

"Hey Ab do you think you could help us get back to camp since we are still sore."

"Sure I've got nothing better to do." She put her hand out for me to take it. I did and she hoisted me up then Percy.

"You know I could always..." he stopped when I gave him a stare. I knew what he was going to say and I don't want him to call Blackjack. I needed to get this girl back to camp and quick.
