Surprise

" Tell me that you checked the news," a messy girl in her plain white shirt with no bra under was sitting on her bed with all her art supplies lying all over the soft thing that was supposed to be used for sleeping. Fortunately, at least she knew better than to sleep in that pile of mess. Ever since her roommate went back home for a surprise visit to her parents, she had been staying all alone and had hoarded all the rooms in the small 1.5 bhk that she proudly owned to her own name. It was one of the only things that she had paid for herself... Everything else, including her laptop, phone, IPad, furniture, everything was paid for by her father dearest. Nevertheless, she never once cared for the fact that she was a load and just, lived her privileged, introverted life in the comfort of her house which also, she had apparently not left for the past... 3 months. Yup. She didn't even know what was happening in the world around her.
So, she just giggled at her friend's question and just concentrated at completing the illustration that she had begun

" No. Why? Did Modi install another Demonitization this time?"
" No! It's worse than that. God, you can be fucking irritating at times," her friend snarled at her in anger but was just jokingly dismissed off by her
" Hey!"
" You know what?! Forget it. Just look at the news yourself. And I only bothered to call you to let you know that something is happening even outside your tiny world of... Whatever-"
" Yeah. Fine," She rolled her eyes as she cut the call with hurt in her heart. Her world wasn't nothing. It was great. It was magical and special and it gave her the strength to really even survive in a world where she surprisingly wasn't the main character of everyone's attention. Yeah. Surprising...

But as the brown haired girl picked up her cracked phone, her dark brown eyes widened in shock as she read the news.

" PM MODI HAS ISSUED A LOCKDOWN FOR 45 DAYS!" She gasped in shock as the phone fell from her hands. A little overdramatic? Yeah. Well, that was the result of binging on too many soap operas for a few weeks.
Eventually though, she did pick up her phone and keep one hand over her forehead as she, after maybe 3 years opened an actual news channel that delivered some news for other than K-drama facts or BTS fangirl sights. And as she kept on scrolling, she finally realized. The thing she wanted to do most in her life was coming true!!

All her life, all she had wanted was for no one to look at her or even remember her. She wanted to be lost in her cozy home without anyone around her at all. Her parents were going to meet her in a week's time but now they wouldn't come. I know that she was dumb to be happy that there was a lockdown implied on the entire country but that was just her. The sweet, innocent and introvert that she was...

But her sweet little happy dance came to an end when she heard the doorbell ring.
" Must be the milkman..." she was surprised. Weren't people supposed to... Like... Stay at their homes now? Maybe the man outside didn't know that. Without thinking at all, like an idiot without any bra under her light pink, translucent shirt, she just walked to the door behind which stood a very excited man.

He didn't want to go back home and he had only remembered that his sister now lived in a new flat of her own, at least that was what she had told everyone at home. So, thinking that she would be there, he had excitedly decided that rather than going home and getting involved in any other marriage discussions of his family, he would just spend time and bond with his sister. To be honest, him and his sister were really close and in the past many years, he hadn't been able to be with her due to his work and he knew about the 45 day lockdown. He had actually secretly been hoping for something like the pandemic to happen so that he could finally go back home and spend some quality time with his loved ones. He had purposefully decided to surprise his sister that day because it was the last chance he had at really getting stuck with her.

He had come all the way from America after getting the first hint of the virus spreading and although he had been in mandatory isolation for 2 weeks before coming there, all he was thinking was that it was worth it just to be closer with his little sister. As he held a glass of champagne in his hands and a unwittingly bright smile over his face, he really couldn't wait for his sister to open the door.

What neither one had thought was to find each other on the other side of the door...

No seriously, they were clueless that there even existed someone else like that in the world.

" Ye-"
" SURPRISE! SUHA!" He popped the champagne all over her body and you should have seen her face. She was irritated af. Like seriously. She didn't even know that old dude.
" I'm no Suha and I don't know you. Nor do I don't talk to strangers," and that is when she shut the door on his face. Like flat on his face and left him with a pale face. He... He did that just then to a stranger... Didn't he?! God. He couldn't process it at all. No. He'd rather die. But he couldn't even forget... He took a peep at her wet shirt before she shut the door...

But.
Well.
To sum it all up.
That was their first meet.
