Gavin had so many tests for Dimitri that it felt like an eternity. So much in fact, that it was now night time. From speed to camouflage to strength and to intelligence, Gavin was starting to overwhelm Dimitri. Alex was sitting on the porch drinking a beer as he watched all of this unfold and James sat by you on a large rock, keeping his eyes on you. "Ok. You ready for another test"? Dimitri groaned. "I promise. This'll be the last test for tonight".

"Very well. What is it"?

"I would like to see how fast you are in water. If you'll please, come with me to the shore". Dimitri only obeyed and slithered to the shore and took a glance back in your direction to make sure you were ok. James gave him a thumbs up but Dimitri didn't understand what that meant and just went back to the test. "James"?

"Yes, (Y/n)"?

"What if someone hurts Dimitri"?

"No one will hurt him. Remember, we pinky swore? Don't worry, I'm sure no one else will find him or hurt him. Alex pretty much lives in the middle of nowhere".

"Why"?

"He kinda chose that. Alex doesn't really like people that much". James stood up and stretched out his legs and popped his back. "Well, it's getting late. I think it's time for you to hit the hay".

"But-"

"I know, but you need your sleep. Come on-"

"Wait! Can I say goodnight to Dimitri"?

"Alright, go ahead. But don't take to long". You nodded and rushed over to the shore by Gavin. Dimitri was swimming as fast as he could as Gavin was timing him on his stopwatch. "Incredible" Gavin said and then looked down at you for a split second. "He's incredible, you know".

"Yeah" you said. Dimitri was swimming as fast as he could and then heard his name to come back to the shore. Once he resurfaced and came back, he saw you and you raised your arms up to him. His arms were sore but he still picked you up. "James said I have to go to bed".

"You should" Dimitri said. "Come, I'll put you to bed". Dimitri and Gavin started to go to the porch but Alex jumped up. "WOAH WOAH WOAH, what are you doing" Alex asked Dimitri. "Putting (y/n) to bed".

"There's no way in hell your coming inside-"

"Alex" James warned. "Let him inside".

"No way! My cabin, my rules! He's sleeping outside".

"But that's not fair" you replied.

"Alex" Gavin said, coming forward. "Just let him in. What if someone else sees him"?

"They won't. All of your cameras and motion sensors are turned on 24/7 and no one ever comes here-"

"You don't know that" James said. "You don't own the lake, Alex. If someone decides to go out on the lake and they see him, who knows what they'll do". Alex sighed in anger and begrudgingly stood aside for Dimitri to come inside. Dimitri was in shock seeing the taxidermy bear and other animals but tried not to think about it but then saw the blankets and pillows that were still on the couch for you. Dimitri gently put you down and tucked you in. "Go to sleep now, little one" he said gently.

"Good night, Dimitri". Dimitri then gently kissed your head. "Good night, little one".

"Dimitri" Gavin asked quietly. "Can we talk to you for a moment"? Dimitri nodded and carefully slithered over to the three men and trying to be careful to not knock anything over. "Ok. I was talking with James, and we all agree that if your gonna stay here, you need to stay out of sight".

"That won't be a problem for me".

"Ok, but just remember that people do go out hiking around here and people never put their phones down".

"I've lived here my whole life. I've never been spotted before and I don't intend to. I would watch people from afar to see how they behave. I'll be alright".

"If you say so".

"Alright" Alex announced, "I'm going to bed. If you break anything, your sleeping with the fishes". Alex went upstairs and didn't say anything else. James went to bed as well, but not before saying goodnight to you as well. Gavin had some work to do so he would stay up and Dimitri went back over to you and curled up near the couch and fell asleep.

It is obvious that Alex doesn't own the lake and can't stop anyone from being out on it but what none of them realized was the canoe out on the lake and the person filming. This person had just made history by catching a monster on tape and now posted it on the internet. This was surely going to be a huge problem.
