After Mr. Harrisons death, the buzz about Dimitris sighting was still in effect and he would have to call this new forest his home. He was lucky to find another cave, but it wasn't the same as the old one. He didn't seem to mind. He would still observe hikers and campers from afar and start a new pile of treasures. Dimitri decided to try and forget about his heritage and just focus on the future.

After Gavin quit, he still didn't want to give up his interest and used some of his money to open his own laboratory. There, he did what his other laboratory did and knew that if Mr. Harrison died, which he did, then it would be shut down. Gavin was generous enough to offer jobs to some of his old coworkers and it was thriving. He was making much more than he needed and even sold his apartment to have his own house built next to James.

Alex still did his usual hunting and Gavin was nice enough to loan him some money to have a fence built on the property so people wouldn't bother him. People were still coming to the lake and Alex would still remind them to stay away from his cabin. Gavin even asked if he wanted to move somewhere else, but Alex refused saying, "This is my cabin. There are many like it but this one is mine". Gavin rolled his eyes.

James did something he never thought he would do. He officially adopted you. He had a small house and cleared out his extra room for you. Hearing the news made you jump to him and hug him so tightly. The whole adoption process took a while, but it finally ended on the best possible date. Your birthday. During the adoption process, you got enrolled in school and made many friends and got the proper education you needed as well as counseling to deal with the past trauma. James was trying his best to be the parent he could ever be, and you would always tell him that he was the best father ever.

For your birthday, all of your friends came over and as well as Gavin and Alex who brought you gifts. Gavin got you a very expensive telescope and Alex got you bow with arrows and a target as well, much to the disapproval of James but you loved the gifts regardless. You played with all your friends, and it was the most fun you ever had. But sadly, the night was coming, and the party ended. All your friends had to go home, and Alex went home but Gavin stayed behind to help clean up the aftermath, while you were playing with your new toys. But as James and Gavin finished cleaning, James reminded you about your bedtime and took you up to tuck you in and kiss you goodnight. Meanwhile, James and Gavin were waiting for Alex to return. He said he would be right back and when the two men saw his headlights shine through the living room windows, they got up to help him bring in another gift for you. They had to be careful, but it got easier to do since you weren't watching this. As the "gift" was brought inside, they stopped outside your bedroom door and opened the door quietly to see you asleep. They didn't turn the lights on and just wanted to observe the reactions.

As you were sleeping, you then feel a gentle nudge on your shoulder and awoke to see the familiar face of your beloved friend and sworn caretaker.

"Dimitri"!?
